Wtf....??? Why is it that people assume because i don't have the WS6 version of the TA my car is slow and a POS? Granted it is an auto but i have added a few goodiesa to it such as 3.73's shift kit, Lid, SSRA LCA's aod SFC's with a Random Tech Exhaust waiting to be installed.
Does anyone have any numbers comparing a stock TA/Z28 to WS6/SS model? With my mods is it quick enough to beat an 05 manual GT? Any suggestions on what to do next?

ALL LS1 Fbody's produce about the same bhp and run similar times +-
WS6 was originally a "handling package" available in the 70's for TA and Formula. 4th gens where marketed as a seperate model, but inreality minor suspension mods and a few cosmetic changes where the only differences.

hehehe at the motor plex where i race on saterdays. i have beaten 2 ss camaro 1999 and a 2001 both t56 cars. and two ram air ws6 ta both 2002 both t56 cars. and i have a a 1998 z28 auto with a lid and cut out if you wanna have fun buy a t56 if you wabna race buy a 4l60.i got a 4000 fuddle stall str that i havent put in yet when i do i will a good bit faster. dont hate on a auto.

hey bro, I wouldnt worry what some idiots say. Hey if they feel that your sleek beak is a peice of ****...agree with them get them into a false sense of security, race them and make them look like dumb *****. Hell, sometimes when people ask me about my "firebird" I tell them its just a v6 and the gas mileage is pretty good!

Yah i feel your pain man, I have an '01 Formula and everyone thinks its a V-6 and when I tell em its a V-8 they still think its slow b/c its not a "Trans Am"....but like everyone is telling you, use it to your advantage..

Truth is, those things are not really enough to make a WS6 any faster than a regular TA. It would be a driver's race, plain and simple.
Just get a hood. A plain-jane TA looks unintimidating IMO, but any one of the aftermarket hoods will easily spruce up your car.

I know what you mean. don't feel bad, but my situation is worst, ****** damnass's usually tell me my car was originally v6 and change it to V8 to make it look like z28 and put ls1 to look like an SS 
and when i installed my 35th aniversary stipe/flag decal they said i want my car to look like a viper

I'm waiting to tear off into someone's @ss! There are a few nice cars around here like a 350 Z, 05 GT, 03 WRX, 06 M3, and plenty of cocky european rich guys with Vette's, Porche Cayman's and a few NSX's. All i need is one to make a mockery of!
