Default Interior question

I tried searching but couldn't come up with anything. Whats the name of the interior where most of it is black, but the leather parts of the doors and seats are tan? I'v seen a few T/A's with this interior sceme and it looks awsome!

Hmm, think it's called camel. Could be called tan though, and all tan interior is called camel.

the dash and console are always black. if you get the tan leather then you end up with the combo you're talking about.

Default Taupe

My original window sticker on my '01 T/A says my interior trim color is taupe, which looks tan.

Taupe is the correct name for the color. I have Taupe in my 'bird too.

Starting in 2000, all the dashes, A-pillars & center consoles were black in all Camaros & Firebirds.

No not that, everything is black, all the panels and carpet is black. But only the leather part of the seats are tan while the plastic backside is black. The doors are all black except the leather portion of them that fills in the middle between the door pockets and the top part of it. The back seats are also tan while the carpet on the backside is black.

Basically all thats tan is the leather on the seats and the door panels. I cant find a pic now but I'v seen a few t/a's and firehawks that had this, they were 01 & 02 models only, I think.

I posted a comment in the Special Edition Vehicles Forum to see if someone can shed some light on this....

I believe it was called "camel", it's a slightly darker shade of tan than "taupe" is... "taupe" was 98-00 I believe, and I think they switched to camel in 01.
