I should of have been a little more specific in the rear end commnet, I meant putting a limited slip diff in it. The V6 cars had open diffs unless they had the performance package on them.

ok, most of that stuff you guys posted that was different I kinda thought would be, whats different about the suspension? Guage Cluster?

Are these things that are different, most likely not as good as the formulas suspension easly installed/upgraded on the V6 bird?

The V8 cars had different spring rate and shocks with different valving than the V6 cars.

The gauge cluster in the V8 cars has a 155 speedo, the V6 cars had a 120 speedo.

ok no big deal on the cluster, so there was only different springs and shocks on the formula/trans-am? How much would it cost to upgrade to these?

there is no way, I guranttee it that you can get an LT1 or an Ls1 around hear for that price the cheapeast I seen was a 1999 formula for 14K, other then that I have only seen the V6 for under 10k even a few V6's for over 10k. Im 18 and I cant afford to spend 14k and save for school at the same time

GM made one supercharged 4.3 L V8 test mule in 1997. Although I am sure that's not it.

You don't see many v8s swapped into cars that come stock with them.

For the PITA it is to swap a v8 into a v6 camaro/firebird or mustang 99% of people just buy one with a v8.

Actually, the 3.8 was available in California late 95 (AFAIK). The 3.8 became standard in 96.

Anyway, there is no wonder why it's got the wrong info. It's a dealer selling it. They rarely know what they're talking about. They probably think it's a 4.3 just because it's a GM V6.
