Default Cutouts

Where would you put your coutout on your Bird's exhaust system:

-x2 cutouts right behind the header

Or

-x1 cutout right behind the Y pipe

Any other suggestions?

By now I'd just do that on the stock exhaust, but let's say I put some mid or long tube headers, how could I fit a cutout setup for performance.

my cutout is at the end of the I pipe (the one after the Y pipe) right before it goes into the muffler. i think it sounds pretty good, but some LT headers would set it off nicely

I agree. Right on the passangers side directly under the passanger backseat is a small indentation that a cut out can be put and not cause any ground clearances.

I've put mine about right there also. Plus, it makes it easier to cap on or uncap if you need it quiet.

It is perfectly round, not oval like the drivers side y pipe section.

Put a bead of oil down your exhaust from headers back and turn the car on. Wherever the oil isn't burned is the farthest upstream you should put a cutout. Backpressure is important.

That's what I heard, not sure how accurate it is.
