Mine are used as a buffer between my star tire iron and the the ttops when they are in the trunk. I never use them as shades...I like to be able to look out.

I used to leave mine all the time. Living in texas with t-tops and black interior is a killer. then i had 5% tint put on them. Now the covers stay off more often.

I asked about this because when I bought the car in April I was told they could be made up in a shop that does interiors. Does anyone have pictures of what they look like in? Do they take away from the head room? Do they come in differant colors? approximately how much do they or did they cost? And are they still available?
Thanks, John

I don't know if they came with the car or were an option; mine came with them.

You can check out this link ebay auction. They are listed on ebay from time to time.

I have had my '98 since 02. I have yet to put them in. Unless its a rainy day or winter, I dont even have my tops in place. MY friend has them in his 99 WS6, but they look tacky. Then again same friend never removes his hatches...

I leave mine in. Less sunlight coming in and less fade. Plus, it is easier to drive and they are really easy to put in and out. It only takes like 2 seconds.

Does anyone use suction cups to hold theirs up?

Mine have velcro, but I think it would look weird to have a visible piece of velcro on the tops when the shades are off...

Hmm...You mean there isn't already velcro on the glass? My car came with two perfectly placed velcro dots on the glass in the corners...

I guess the previous owner removed the velcro from the glass and attached them to the other pieces.

When the shades are off, is the velcro noticeable?

I don't use the velcro or anything. There is nothing attached to my T-top glass or anything. I didn't want to mess up the glass with velcro crap on it. They stay up perfectly fine. They fit
