Default Baby Carseat

Can you fit an infant carseat in the bucket seat of the firebird?
I know they have the latch installed but I was wondering if anyone has any advise.

Thanks!

Back in 03-04 when my daughter was 1-2 year, mom & daughter spent travlling time in the back, no problem at all-secure the baby seat to car seat and go.

Yes! I bought my first 4th gen in 2002 after my son was born. It is much wider than the eclipse we traded in. Seat fit comfortably and never worried about safety.

Yes you can, no you shouldn't. You can't turn off the passenger side air bag like you can on some new vehicles. The new recommendations are to put the car seat in the back seat. The middle of the back seat is safest. You should only put it in the front seat if you can turn off the air bag and face the car seat to the rear. I don't think that's going to work. Dad.

I thought they meant the rear bucket seat, no?? THe back seat is a bucket, not a bench design like most normal cars. I would never recommend the front seat if that is what they are referring to. If it is the back seat, it is a great fit and has most of the side support as that is where the roof meets the car. My son is 7 now, and he still sits in the back.

I forgot to take a picture. I have to remember the next time I take him in there. FWIW He loves it because he can see everything. My son is 8 mos old. I have not bought him a convertible carseat yet.

I wouldnt suggest putting an infant in the front seat, when I had my 02 SS my daughter was old enough to sit in a forward facing it was an eddie bauer that fit perfectly in the seat. One other reason to not stick a child in the front seat, a couple of years ago my mom was going through a light, and a person not paying attention ran the light and tboned her in the passenger seat, it shattered the glass, the door was destroyed the only thing that wasnt bent to hell was the bar in the door, and the guy was only going like 35 to 40 mph. Just my opinion hope it helps.

My daughter came home from the hospital in my '01 WS6. Just had to move the pass. seat all the way up, I believe I removed the rear pass. seat bottom and put the carseat base in like that. We had the one where the carseat is removable from the base: you leave the base strapped in the car and the carseat locks into it when you place it down inside. Worked great.

Did I understand you right? You REMOVE the passenger side seat, and the carseat bolts into place? o_0
