i have the ws6 hood on my trans am and i cant even tell you the number of times i had people tell me nice ws6 and when i tell them its not they say ohhh yea ws6s are so much faster blah blah blah ... cause you know how much smarter everyone is than you cause they watched ALLL of the fast and the furious movies

 

Drive a stick with no synchros without grinding them come back and talk to me I like my auto for the fact its faster with just a converter. Plus I know i would burn them out all of the time since its my DD..
Its not the fact that i care what people think its the fact that i dont want misinformation to keep spreading around.

I also tell people i have a vette engine because they dont know what a ls1 is.

Having a WS6 it has never happened to me but, i was in Advance Auto one day and a guy working there said nice car man does it have a WS6 in it. I just said yes it is a WS6 car, and went on my way.

 

Pretty funny stories in here!

Mines not so great but Ive had a guy at the gas station argue with me that my 5 spokes were aftermarket and not the factory WS6 wheels, I kept telling him those are the stock wheels and he kept saying "umm I dont think so, I dont think they are" so I just gave up, lol

Ive also got the jaw dropping when I tell them it has a corvette engine, all of a sudden my cars fast now......

 

Ha ha, yea...my g/f told some of her friends that I had a T/A and they were like, "Is it a WS6?" She told them no, and they were upset, but I guess she felt she had to defend it with, "It has a Corvette engine.", and the dumbasses acted like my car was unbeatable. HA HA

 

Ive had several ppl throw out random years of my 00' TA, anywhere from 2003 - 2007. Im actually really surprised at the amount of ppl will to argue that 2002 wasn't the last year it was made lol.

On a weird side note... I had a kid IM me online and challenge me to a race because I said that I liked his 400 blah blah blah HP Z28 except for the fact that he had went out of his way to put a single exhaust outlet on it... when I declined, he called me a ricer because my car is bone stock (isnt that the opposite of being a ricer? lol).

i have a '99 firehawk,i went to my gf's and the first time i met her dad, he tells me nice mustang i looked at him in awe and just shook my head with a huge grin on my face like, oh what the **** am i gettin myself into

 

If I get asked if mine is a V6, my answer is "yep." Auto? "Yep. Don't want the hassle of shifting." Then hopefully we'll meet at a stoplight sometime for a little surprise.

I'm thinking of getting a personalized plate that says ITSA V6.

 

My plate came in a couple weeks ago. Ignore the rust on stock muffler. No money.

Heres my question... do u Formula guys get more mad when they call your F-Body a Camaro or a Trans Am? lol. I mean all of our Formulas/Trans Ams (plus all the packages you can get) are all Firebirds, so none of us can get really mad about that one, but I know at one point or another each one of you has been asked either of those questions lol. So wrong F-Body? Or wrong trim? Which one stings more?
