is it some what rare to have red seats and red on the inside of the door? i just bought a silver trans am and it has red seats, first time i've seen red seats in a trans am, also one of the seats is ripped pretty bad and the other has a bad stain , is it hard to find these seats to replace. it really doesn't make a difference but i was just curious

Must be custom. I've been thinking of taking the door panels off and replacing the cloth with leather myself. Not red though- just not my thing.

 

Not all of them are custom.
It was a factory original option, but pretty rare.
Find a local upholstery shop & ask them.

 

I think Red Leather was available only in 95 and 96, and only on the Trans Am/WS6. I've seen a few White and Silver cars with Red Leather and I think it looks awesome!

 

Neither was I, in fact I had a 90 Vette convertible with Red Leather interior...I hated it at first

I don't know why but it really grew on me and I learned to love it and still do!

 

ya my interior looks exactly like that , the seats look kind of out of place at first, but im liking them more

There was a vert at the Great Lakes FB show with a factory red interior

 

My brother had an 88 Corvette...Red,with Red leather..Looked stellar. White leather looks awesome too..I mean seriously,doesn't graphite get boring..My TA is black and I would love to have a red interior,more color and contrast..

 

They changed the color of the red interior in C4's in 93 to Torch Red which is an even brighter red...check out this 94 Black/Red some might call it "tacky" but I think it looks great!

 

Love red interior, if I was gonna get a vette, it was a must.

 

Especially the "Mod Red" in the C5 Z06.

 

I love red, and red interior looks awesome, wish those seats were more common I would swap out my black ones for those in a heartbeat

 

I have a 96 Trans Am I'm trying to figure out how many was made with the red leather interior with the 6 speed ?

 

Does anyone on here know how many 96 Trans Ams were made with the red leather interior with the 6 speed manual 🤔 I've been trying to find soemthing on my search just can't find out how many of these they produced? I just bought this anout a month ago and im trying to find out how many they made? Thanks glad to be apart of the group 💪👍

In '96, there were 61 T/A coupes built w/ RPO 702/703 Dark Maple Red Leather interior and 14 'verts. I didn't break-down the non-WS6s T/As by transmission, but of those, 16 were WS6s w/ M6 and 19 were WS6s w/ A4 (no WS6 'verts yet in '96). This same interior was offered in '95. It appears to have been deleted from the option list VERY early in the '97 MY as only 2 T/A coupes were built with it (these cars were likely built to fulfill orders made for the '96 MY).

 

I have a 96 Trans Am Formula AT with the maple red seats, I read on Trans Am world that my particular car there were 61 made like it in 1996 so yes any Birds with the maple red seats are rarities

 

My 1996 Formula Trans Am has the maple red leather seats and from what I read on Trans Am world's site it is one of 61 made of it's option code for 1996.
