In 94 and 95 IIRC the high rise spoiler was an option.

Y82- MERCHANDISED PKG PONTIAC FIREBIRD TRANS AM BASE
LS9- NO MATCH

Use that to decode your RPO codes for the car. I dont know what the RPO was for the high rise but I bet you dont have it.

WS9 + Y82 means Trans Am.

WS9 + W66 means Formula.

T43 was the RPO for the "uplift" (T/A style) spoiler that was optional on T/As from (I'm pretty sure) '93-'96 and was included as standard equip w/ the Y82 (T/A) package from '97-'02. This spoiler was not available on Formulas UNLESS you also had a Firehawk RPO (can't remember the exact years this combo was available, I'm pretty sure it was limited to LT1 Firehawk Fomulas....... never seen an LS1 Hawk Formula w/ the T43 spoiler).

What will the VIN tell me?

This is information I received from ASC and Pontiac!

According to our records, your S/N 103137 is a black 2001 WS6 with T-Tops
and a manual transmission. It was converted by ASC August 14, 2000 and was
our build number 618.

The 2001 model year WS6 breakdown is:
7,869 WS6s built
7,088 T-Tops
4,107 manual transmissions
2,950 black

With your specific combination (black, T-Tops, manual trans), we built
1,583.

I hope this information is helpful.

Here's some more 2001 info I stumbled across burried deep in my archives:

Courtesy of High Performance Pontiac magazine Jan 2002;
7,073 WS6 Coupes - 3832 6-speeds and 3241 auto.
796 WS6 Convertibles - 280 6-speeds and 516 auto.

2,596 Trans Am Coupes - 1028 6-speeds and 1568 auto.
396 Trans Am Convertibles - 81 6-speeds and 315 auto.

1037 Formula Coupes - 311 6-speeds and 726 auto.
Interesting that, with the exception of WS6 coupes, A4s were the trans of preference. Although a higher ratio of M6s were installed in WS6 'verts than in non WS6 'verts. This seems to imply that WS6 drivers prefer a M6. Or should I say, M6 drivers prefer WS6?

the uplevel hatch option is T43

I believe all 93 T/A's had it, and only the GT's did for 1994, and in 1995 the T/A became one model again and the T43 was a separate $395 option until i think 1997 or 98 when it became standard on the T/A. i have never seen a 93 or 98+ T/A that didn't have the uplevel spoiler. I think i have seen a 96 that didn't but i'm not sure about 1997

Default 99 production by color

Hey everyone... first post here! I stubled across this thread while doing a little research on my baby (or at least trying to!) I have a pretty rare 99 T/A. I ordered the car new and picked it up June 19 of 1999 after about 6 months of waiting due to numerous production hold-ups... I've never seen another one like it and have always wanted to know how many others were built, if any. I've been trying for years to find production number breakdowns by color combo and/or options for the 99 Trans-Am, but have had no luck. So when I found this thread I just had to sign up and see if maybe someone here could help.

It's a 99 T/A Convertible with the following option breakdown:
Blue-Green Chameleon
White Leather with lumbar seats
Black convertible top
6-Speed with Hurst shifter
Chrome wheels
Probably a bunch of other stuff I'm forgetting right now.
Basically it has every available option on the order form, even the ones not in the dealer brochures (incl power steering cooler and Torsen diff)

The only option it does not have is Ws6, because it wasn't available in Blue-green Chameleon. At the time I HAD to have this color combo. It was, and still is, pretty f***ing pimp.

Anyone know how I could figure out how many clones there are? Of course it will always be one-of-a-kind to me, but I'd still love to know.

I would attach a pic but don't have one hosted anywhere (slack, I know.) I did a few mods when i first got it but nothing ridiculous- Mostly suspension stuff to get rid of the 4x4 look, and a little lovin' on the heads and intake courtesy of the local machine shop

Thanks for any info!

Ok I have read through to make sure I wasn't asking a duplicate question so here goes. I have a Black 2002 Firehawk Formula M6 with T-tops and CLOTH Ebony interior.
I understand only 167 Firehawks were Formulas in 02. I was wondering how many were Black with Ebony Cloth? I have been told almost all of them had Leather. And I was also told NONE had cloth, but mine does and its original interior
