Go to performanceyears.com There is probably some one there who can help you with this.

I have a 2000 maple red metallic hardtop formula. I have searched around quite a bit and I can't find any other mrm Hardtop formula's. I was wondering if there was any kind of breakdown for these?

I thought at some point I read something about ~70ish mrm hardtop cars but not sure...

There were 72 2000 MRM Formulas built. I can't tell you how many had HTs or A4-vs-M6.

Wow, nice thread, great info.

I'm looking to find out more about my car

2000 Trans Am (Not WS6)
Convertible
Red with white top
A4
Black interior

Anyone have any info on this? Earlier someone posted a breakdown of the different convertible top colors for 2002 and I was wondering if anyone has those numbers for 2000. From the 2002 numbers white seemed to be one of the rarer top colors, I wonder if it was in 2000. Thanks.

I have a 2002 Bright Red Trans Am, that I ordered brand new when it was delivered it had all the NHRA emblems on it. How can I verify if it is a true NHRA edition? How do I obtain the build number for the car? Are NHRA emblems installed normally at the factory or at the dealerships?

CompNine's database shows that there were a total of 1791* T/A 'verts built in 2000 (including WS6s, of which there were 1013). Here's the breakdown:

402 of 1791 were 81U Bright Red (248 of those were WS6s)
1292 of the 1791 had A4 (684 of those were WS6s)
33 of the 1791 had 10T White top (22 of those were WS6s)

So it seems you have one of 11 non-WS6 T/A 'verts w/ white top built in 2000.

* Note: Another data source shows 1808 T/A 'verts built in 2000, so the above numbers may be a tad low.

Search around for more info on the NHRA cars, but here's what I know:

RPO 1SH was used to designate NHRA cars from 2000 thru 2002. If your car has this RPO on the door decal, it's an NHRA car.

I don't believe these were assigned "build numbers" like the WS6 cars that were converted by ASC. All the NHRA-unique equipment (decals) were installed either on the line or at the dealer (I suspect only the early 2000s were dealer-installed). Other than the decals, I believe all the NHRA (1SH) option got you was a Hurst shifter (BBS) if it was a M6, or the performance axle ratio (GU5, 3.23) if it was an A4. Both of these options were available "ala-carte", so you could order a car identical to an NHRA car but w/o the decals or 1SH RPO. The only restriction on the NHRA option was that it could not be ordered with WS6.

Wondering if anyone knows how "rare" my car is.
02, WS6, T-Top, Sunset Orange Metallic, Beige interior, Automatic

I did some digging and it looks as if I am 1 of 161 SOM Automatics but that is as far as I can break it down.

Even if CompNine hadn't closed their doors and I still had the ability to search your specific RPOs to get a detailed breakdown for your car, their database was missing a good chunk of the '02 production units. That 161 number for '02 WS6 SOM A4s is definately on the low side:

CompNine's numbers ('02 SOM WS6 coupes):
Total: 382 (another source - shows 525)
-A4: 161 (the other source shows 221)
-M6: 221 (the other source shows 304)

I've got an A4 Blue Green Chameleon WS6 TA, but the chart says 0. Could someone tell me how many were actually made? Thanks.

Edit: Looked into the rpo codes, and it doesn't have the WS6 code.

ASC did not put their build# on GM's paperwork. You have to get that info from ASC's records. Check the sticky on that topic.
