I just noticed, nobody asked you the obvious question. Is your car a Firehawk (RPO WU8 on the door)?? I suppose if the previous owner removed the Firehawk decals (and swapped the hood??), it'd be hard to tell the car was a Firehawk. Not sure why anyone would do that and then slap "SLP" decals on it as it'd only decrease its value.

There were 524 2001 Pewter WS6 coupes w/ A4s built. I can't tell you how many of those had taupe interior, but I can tell you that 420 2001 WS6 coupes w/ A4 had taupe leather interior (all colors).
FWIW, ALL T/A coupes since '98 have t-tops
Link to a breakdown is in my sig.

Is this Car a WS6
I found this Firebird near a dealer where I live, I am interested in buying, they want 4500. I did some research,Carfax showed it totaled and I googled the VIN and found it at a salvage auction site listed 2 years ago.It doesn't look like it hard just basically deployed the air bags. Here is the old pictures and the new ones at the dealership. Notice the repaired pics shown by the dealer doesn't have the ram air hood. So was this a original WS6 car, with a 135k on the dash is it worth 4500. Its a Automatic,Thanks guys

93-97 ta
I have been on the look for a 93-97 trans am, six speed hardtop ws6 with the red leather interior. My first question is can anyone help me narrow down the years available in that color combo and if any were made how many were produced. Has anyone ever seen this color combo? I have seen red with red interior but not black w/ red Thanks

My fault for not looking through the rest of this thread, but there's nearly 30 pages here!
JW if anyone has been able to find production numbers from SLP for their V6 Firebird GT package in '01 and '02.. Mines an '02 and I'll be giving them a call next week, but haven't found anything online about it.

Is my car really this Rare?.... Or are they trying to make me feel better? haha
So I was looking into this site about the RPO Codes and this is what it told me after listing all of my RPO codes. (See attached Photo) You will notice that it said my car is one of only 8 ever made EXACTLY like mine..... What say you all?

Yeah, many have posted info into that site and it always states the car is 'rare'. You can take almost any car and if just one stinkin' thing is different then it is 1 of 1 or 1 of 5 etc.. It gets to be a joke after awhile. Just silly. Look at the general BIG picture of 'rarity' (like number of cars produced, or color combos, etc..) and see if it applies to an actual price change or consideration. Rarity also means nothing in the grand scheme of things if the car has been modified or has higher mileage. Very few will be interested until the car is quite old and very desirable. Usually the car has to be stock and very low mileage to command price premiums for more modern machines.

Production Numbers?
Not that I really care but I have been doing some mods on my cars and it will soon get to the point of no return.. I started wondering am I screwing up a rare car?
I have a 2000 Firebird Formula NHRA edition. Hard Top no trac, M6. I know that there were only 97 made in 2000 but of that how many are pewter hardtops and No traction control.. and does it even matter if I am swapping intakes and heads even if its rare?

According to Pontiac Historical services only 207 NHRA Firebirds were
built in 2000. Of that number only 110 were Trans Ams. The remaining
97 were Formulas. Looks like you have one of 97, not sure how many of those were hard tops and m6.
I got that info from the special edition vehicles section.

Stock and very low mileage are keys for most collectors. If you have over 50,000 miles on your car, don't even think about it. Enjoy it! If you are thinking of modding a 10,000 - 20,000 miles stock example, then yeah, you might reconsider. Even then, these cars are still in the infancy of collectibility. 25 years is the first landmark date. Still a bit far off into the future.

Anyone know if a 2000 NBM (Non-WS.6) TA with the T56 and Taupe/Black interior is rare at all? From what I've seen, non-WS.6's were produced less, so just wondering if it's an uncommon car, or the opposite.

M6 / A4s were split pretty evenly in TAs.
