Yeah, if your talking about what I referred to as the "outwardly-badged" WS6 cars, that is true. However, WS6 was an RPO for a suspension and/or brake upgrade from ~'78 until '92 (but never "badged" as such), and was apparently dropped from '93-'95. When talking about WS6s, I try to be careful to not exclude those earlier cars as sometimes owners get sensitive about it.
i was slightly offended, my 79 trans am was a ws6

A few questions:

How can I find the EXACT production number of my 2000 Formula? I know it's not a WS6 or anything.

Why are there conflicting numbers for the number of 2000 formulas? I've seen two posts of 1302 and about 3 other posts claiming different numbers.

How many Red, Tan Cloth, 6-Speed, Hard Top Formulas were made in 2000?

I went to a dealership and got my build sheet and called SLP to get their build number. I'm just trying to find a more detailed break down on the car. I found these numbers on the web. They all match up but not sure on the specifics ones which is what I'm trying to find out.

"Below is a breakdown from SLP and Pontiac for the 1996 Trans AM WS6

Total Trans Am WS6 Built - 2,051
6 speed manual transmission - 1,117
Automatic transmission - 934
T-Tops - 2,019
Hardtops - 32
Black Exterior - 139 (The number in this color included Formulas WS6 and Trans Am's WS6) "

My guess is the 1998 Formula WS6 Vert, only two built. One was a auto and the other six speed, both were red and one had a white top and the other was a black top

In 2000 they made 1525 Formulas. The reason you are seeing 1302 or so is because a lot of people subtract the 232 Formula WS6s from that total number as they arent "Formulas".

Here's all that I've been able to find for '95s, it's incomplete (lots of "?"s), but there are some numbers in there.
