I like that it has William Danials' voice, but I think it would have looked more appropriate if they modeled it on KITT's interior instead of exterior.... since its going to go on the inside of your car instead of the outside.
Also, it sounds more like KARR than KITT.
Also, after using a few different GPS units, Garmin is the best I've used so far. If you already have a Garmin, stick with it and see if there is a voice pack available to give it William Danials' voice or something similar.
That being said.... I still think its an awesome device.
I don't have the voice pack, but I made my Pioneer AVIC-D3 look the part...

I'm considering adding some lit buttons to the sides of the bezel.

How did you get one with red buttons the only ones I can find are blue buttons?

I have a Pioneer AVIC-D3 with a custom background. Its a touchscreen, but those buttons you see on the screen are part of the background and aren't functional.
If you mean the backlight color of the unit's buttons on the left, its changeable in the settings menu to several different colors.

Actually your right in the beginning of the first video it does sound like KARR. Listen to were it says to turn left, and when it says B-E while the guy is looking for his name benjamin. That definetly has the tone of KARR, im not sure if you can choose that option or if its just a slight screw up.

Here is my install:
https://ls1tech.com/forums/showthrea...hlight=avic-d3
Its basically a touch screen double-din headunit.
Some Features:
* Touch Screen
* GPS (using Tele Atlas Maps)
* DVD
* MP3 (on CD/DVD)
* Siruis (with external receiver)
* XM (with external receiver)
* Bluetooth (with external box)
* iPod control (with external box)
BTW, I do have the XM add-on and Bluetooth add-on.
The Pioneer AVIC-D3 is now out of production though. Pioneer does have a new F series though, but I don't know much about them.
As far as the GPS capability, Garmin is better. There are a couple Kenwood double-din units that use Garmin GPS. Whitebird00 has one.
Comparison of Pioneer AVIC-D3 and Kenwood DNX5120:
https://ls1tech.com/forums/wiring-stereo-electronics/921656-pioneer-avic-d3-kenwood-dnx5120-comparison.html
(I add in my thoughts in there about the Pioneer AVIC-D3.)
More double-din pics:

(Mostly the Pioneer and Kenwood units)

VIP1 I really appreciate the info, I really just want it because I think it looks cooland has several neat features.
I tried to look up a price on it and they range from $300 to around $1,000??
I don't need all the options, mainly just a few, where should I purchase one??
Thanks, Ben

Unfortunately I don't have a recommendation on where to get one. I bought mine used from Whitebird00. You might still find one new, but it will be whatever is left in stock since Pioneer stopped making them.
BTW, the Kenwood is still in production and has a better GPS (it uses Garmin).
Pioneer does have a new "F" series, but I know nothing about it.

I got my KR GPS last Friday.
I've been enjoying it all weekend! I don't care what some say but if you were ever a fan of the TV show, then this is a must have. Not only is it a really good gps (on par with my Garmin in ease of use and function) but it is just plain awesome for the fact that you are being guided around by the one and only KITT.
*William Daniels* "in one-quarter of a mile, perform a U-turn"
I would be just driving around and input my home location for navigation just to listen to KITT tell me where to go and watch the LED's on the unit modulate with his voice exactly like in the show.
As many have said about the exterior detail of the unit not being done correctly. As in it should have been done to represent the dash rather than taking cues from KITT's exterior, I'm glad they did it this way. Using cues from the interior of KITT would have been over the top and the gloss black face with red LED's are simple enough to keep the unit "up-to-date" in appearance. In fact, I think its one of the best looking GPS's on the market.
5 stars for the Knight Rider GPS
