Default 93 30,800 miles If I custom paint it will it lose value????

I have a 93 that has super low miles. If I paint it with custom color will it lose value???? Should I just paint it with OEM PPG paint???

I don't know if it would... but I probably would not change the original paint. Painting all the other stuff.... door jambs, ect is a PIA and it will co$t you more, espically if you are having the car painted by someone else.

Yeah, you are hurting the 'collector' value. If it must have paint then it should be kept the original color. If you are going to be driving it a lot in the future then the higher mileage will negate any paint change since the car will be worth less as you pile on the miles. What were your plans?

It would make a fine parts car in 2030 for some one wanting to restore a TA.

you're right, or a great base for a TA clone.

Default 93 trans am

It is a v-8 trans am. I will leave it oem then. When i open the car door the car still smells brand new. I am putting a firehawk hood on it just for looks with some fikse's. I will post pics when I am done. I don't want to change the color just add some ghost flames or maybe a ghost comp t/a look on it. Something subtle.

if you were just planning to sell the car, then dont... but if you are gonna keep it for a long period of time, then do whatever you want to it

Like said before, if you change the color you would have to have every little thing painted to match. Oem color is my choice.

Color Changes Suck. The First Problem Is The Fine Detail. If You Are Somewhat A Perfectionist Do Not Even Think About It Unless It Is A $9,000 And Up Paint Job.

One thing for sure, IF the car EVER gets "collectable", a custom color will NEVER HELP it's value.

I'd go custom if the car needs paint, wait if it doesn't.

A 1993 already lost alot of value. Unless is some limited edition where only 10 were made. Which I doubt.

Quick Reply: 93 30,800 miles If I custom paint it will it lose value????
