2002 Pontiac Firebird Formula

Why would you want to???? The Formula body style is so much cleaner than a T/A.
If you feel you must, however, you will need a new front and rear facia, a different hatch, ground effects and, of course, a Ram Air hood (if you want to really top off the "over done" look)
If you want a T/A, buy one. Don't subject an innocent Formula to such humiliation.

Seems like a lot of work, I was asking because I have seen a Formula and it is cheaper than a Trans Am, but I guess I just look for another Trans Am.

Yea its a lot of effort and in the end itll probably cost the same to just get a TA.
Formulas are pretty hard to come by and then to make them into a TA clone. BLAH
In 5 years there was a total of 7199 Formulas from 98-02.
In 5 years there was a total of 72678 Trans Ams from 98-02.
So basically 10% of all LS1s were Formulas!
Yes Im that bored I figured out the TOTAL production numbers.

Oh c'mon formuhawk99. Don't say overdone...pls!!! We're all on the same team here and quite frankly, what some find "overdone" is EXACTLY what us others LOVE!!! The firebird lives...still...after 6 years of extinction it's wings still beat! nuff said.

Hmmm, I wonder how many hawks then? I know in 2001 there were only 70 formula hawks, and 470 T/A hawks! I also know that in '01 there were only eight(8) Black T/A hawks with auto and t-tops. Mine's one of em. I love doing these numbers because we all have cars that are limited...and getting more limited with each passing day. But in the end, they're firebirds and to me, that's what REALLY counts. Long live the phoenix. Wait, can I still say that since they're done production but still alive??? Screw it, i'm sayin' it anyways!!! Lol.

What you see as "cleaner" others see as more boring.

Please do not be a poser.... if you have a Formula then be proud that it's a Formula. If you want a T/A WS6 then get a T/A WS6. As far as the haters out there with Formulas... before I knew anything about F-Bodies, I thought Formulas were a V6- sorry but they look a like. It's a preference though-all our cars are beautiful but no reason to hate... it only makes others think you're upset with what you have.

I was considering converting mine over to a t/a when I first got it but after finding out the production numbers I changed my mind...
I like mine looking like a V6 firebird.. thats the only reason im still rolling on stock painted wheels.. makes it alot easier to sneak up on somebody on the street and put a couple bus lengths on em

I am not quite sure where you got your production numbers from but there was 66 Black TA T-top/autos made in 2001.

I am not sure where you got 8 from...maybe 8 for Canada? I see they made 8 1LE black auto cars...is yours a 1LE?
