A 140RWHP gain from a cam, headers, cat back, CAI, and valve job is super impressive.
The car came in with a tune/longtubes/cai/ and put down the 370 number you see. After the cam, valve job, and shaved heads it put down 441. There is NO port work done on the heads to clarify.

The car is back a livernois for ported intake/tb and under drive pully.

Very cool. Track should be open there in about a month and a half right? Should run a low 12 to high 11 I'd bet.

If it's not in the 11s, he better stick a rag in the gas tank and light it up.

Now you're talking!

3200 to 3600 will be fine with your set-up and cam.

With this setup could a bigger cam be ran? I don't know a lot about the L76 yet but I have done about 5 cam swaps on my old LS1 before it went bye bye. How hard is it to do a cam swap on this motor as well? Sorry for the questions but we just bought this g8 for the Misses I have had my performance car in the past and talked her into this badboy she wanted a new poopclipse. Now she is learning how great domestic cars are!

I am certain you could run a bigger cam, but it would really need a converter if you did. I know once the DOD is eliminated it's just like any other LS setup to swap cams... Run it you'll love it

Awesome I already have her convinced to go for it LOL. She wants to help with the cam swap so I told her I would pay for half if she bought the rest. I think I found a keeper

The stock DoD cam is .472 lift.

This cam has more lift and duration.

The gain in power isn't because of the D.O.D. delete. The gain in power is from the cam and surrounding parts. The D.O.D. lifters are very heavy and shouldn't be used in higher rpm setups. They will cause valvetrain problems. Getting rid of them and going to standard lifters allows for the higher rpm again and therefore more power. The swap in the G8 is one of the easiest I've done. Time consuming because it's a brand new car and you want to be very carefull with it, but not a difficult job by any means compared to like an F-body.

Just curious how many of these packages are out there? We have finished the tuning on the G8 we did at work and we sure didn't make the 441RWHP which is an outstanding number for those mods. Any other dyno numbers out there for this setup?

Yeah I'd also like to know what most are getting with this conversion. 441RWHP is outstanding for the mods.
