Default Livernois Motorsports 2009 GXP Update

Since the last video I posted of the car with the Rotofab, Corsa Exhaust, and Tune we're since added a set of custom Kooks 1 7/8" Shorty Headers and our stage 1 "Stealth" Cam. The camera picks up on more "noise" than you hear in person. When standing behind the car is person you can't tell there's a cam in it unless you listen very closely, even then it's barely noticeable.

You can drive in 6th gear at 35-40 mph at 900 rpm's and there's no bucking or jerking, it drives likes it's 100% stock. With the Corsa, it's also quiet inside when cruising.

Regards,

He's gotta be pushing a good 430hp. I believe the car made 371 RWHP before the cam and headers.

This cam is definitely stealthy! It sounds great at WOT too.

Below you will find a graph with the bone stock baseline vs. the last run with the following mods:

Livernois Motorsports L92 Stage 1C Camshaft
Rotofab Cold Air Intake System
Kooks/Livernois Custom 1 7/8" Shorty Headers
Corsa Exhaust & Integrated "X" Style Crossover Pipe
Tuned by Livernois Motorsports

The lobe profiles for this cam are completely different than our normal cams and are nothing like the typical Comp lobes.

Baseline numbers were 371 RWHP / 382 RWTQ and latest numbers were 455 RWHP / 422 RWTQ.

What are the cam specs on that one? It sounds and runs really good. Would the Kooks long tube pick up a few more HP.

Cam specs are 218/229 .600/.600 117.5 LSA.

From testing we've found that the longtubes are worth about 8-10 RWHP over the custom 1 7/8" shorty headers. Unfortunately, you can't use longtubes with the Corsa Exhaust, plus we wanted to keep the car somewhat quiet. At cruising speeds, it sound stock inside and outside the car.

Roy,

This cam is smaller than yours. The difference in power numbers come from your car being an auto with a converter and our car being a 6-speed manual.

That's what I thought. I know HP #s aren't everything. So I'm guessing my car would be around 450 if I kept the stock converter. You should be seeing me in a few weeks.

I literally had to squat down behind the car to hear the lope. It's there, but you have to listen for it. Very stealthy indeed. I'm curious to see how much power is gained with heads next...then I want to see a Maggie on it! Won't happen though.
