2009 G8 GT Baseline Dyno
I bought this car in September 2008 and have loved every second with it since. To date is it has remained bone stock. I've made 3 quarter mile passes in the car with a best run of 13.52 @ 102.9 mph. The car currently has 7700 miles on it and I'm getting the itch to start tinkering, so I figured I'd finish out the baseline info with some dyno runs.
These numbers are on a Dynojet, SAE corrected, with the smoothing set to 5. The transmission is an A6 and the car was dynoed in 3rd because 4th would hit the speed limiter. There is no 1:1 gear in these transmissions.
Now that it's all ready to go I'm going to get my battle plan ready and try to make the car even more fun

I definitely want to get it tuned, but didn't want to change anything without a baseline first. Now that I have that taken care of I really want to get it tuned. I always hear how badass these cars drive after and I want to get in on that action!
My initial plans include a CAI, 75 shot, and tune. I also want to try removing the factory exhaust resonators in the hopes that it helps the car sound like a V8 instead of a V6 After that I'll probably start messing with the exhaust and swap my 19" wheels for a set of 18" wheels so I can get a drag radial on the car.

These don't have a 1:1?! Odd.
CANNOT WAIT to own a G8. And one of the first things I will do is headers exhaust and tune. And more than likely that will all it will have performance wise. I already have 1 money pit

I haven't been on a dyno, but with Vector tune, roto-fab and Corsa cat-back mine will squeal going into 2nd and bark 'em going into 3rd. You are going to LOVE it when you start modding your car, especially the trans tune. Good luck.
