I got the Kooks catted X. Big mistake. Still threw the codes so I had to tune them out. Should of gotten catless. Some advice if you don't need cats in your state.

I never had codes, but what really wakes these cars up is a tune, then a cam, then a tune...

We are right down the road from American Racing Headers and Kooks was right near us before moving down south. I've been selling their stuff for years and can attest to the fitment and quality. Let me know if interested for some good LS1 Tech discounts

Yes, the tune is the magical piece to the puzzle. I have VMS 93 octane tune, and I love it. If I ever mod any further, I will definitely get a local dyno tune. No complaints with the mail order tune, but with a cam or FI, I want to make sure everything is spot on perfect.

I went with the OBX 1 7/8 longtubes and complete 3" exhaust got the whole kit for 780.00 shipped to my door and they look just like the kook's (maybe because they are a direct copy) quality is good the only thing i changed is i went with oem gaskets and arp header bolts. make over 500 to the ground through these on a break in tune so they are definately worth the price and install was cake. just my .02
