Ultra low mileage GXPs aren't great family cars IMO. They are very rare collector or hobby cars and have immense value when the mileage is kept very low and the car is kept stock. If you want a family car you can use and abuse a CTS-V, SRT8 or even a G8 GT is going to be a better bet and probably cost the same amount of money or less.

Just because a vehicle is made in limited numbers has NO bearing on it's future value. That is the

RARE is the most overused term in auto value determination.
Case in point; Dodge Rampage. There are others, many others.
I absolutely LOVE the way the G8 looks, until I sat in one and drove it. What a FN unattractive AVEO looking interior. The seats are FN horrible and the aesthetics and ergonomics were terrible. Now I know these are just opinions, but Pontiac did not win any awards for that interior though.

I was actually in the market for one when I bought my V. Now I know that more Vs were produced than G8s, but that has little to do with the VALUE between the two.
In 20 years, let's revisit this conversation and see who has the more valuable car. $100 bucks says it is not the G8 owners, but I still love the way thy look, especially in WHITE!

I can tell you're immature by the name calling and you know nothing about rare cars, since there were a shitload more CTS-V's made than G8 GXP's. Due to the fact that even the G8 GT is going for an average price of $25,000 4 years after it was made, shows they are retaining their value more than the CTS-V, which is worth about half the cost of when it was new for the 2007 and earlier model years.

I'd say anyone who has a chance at a GXP these days should go for it. The G8 in general is a great all-around car. Wish they still made them.
As for comments on the interior, true, not the best in the world but better than most. I've lost track of C6 owners who wish they had my seats for long trips. If you're skinny you can't relate but a poor ol' fat boy like me appreciates the room

I love your sense of humor.
I could have got nasty and I do apologize if you got offended by the Nancy remark, but damn grow a pair and a sense of humor; it was a ******* joke.
The ocean full of water could not wash away your pride. Good luck in the real world.
You might want to try again on your prices sweetheart; you are a tad off.

None of that is disputable, the GXP will always bring more money than the GT and attract far more interest. Especially GXPs that are stock, complete and very low mileage. Like the Solstice GXP coupe G8 GXP owners that keep their cars nice will always be able to get their money back out of it and then some.
Your post just shows how over your head all of this is.

Maybe it's just me then, because I'm a poor working class white kid who likes muscle cars but is looking to save where possible. I guess I should have bought a Civic.

I agree. It is amazing how much G8's are selling for.
