Laugh all you want, but my G8 is worth more today than when I bought it used for $20,000 four years ago, and it's no where near as rare as the GXP.

Those that don't have a car that was produced in limited numbers don't understand they are worth more so I can sympathize for your ignorance.

Oh relax Nancy.

Just because a vehicle is made in limited numbers has NO bearing on it's future value. That is the est statement that I always hear from the misinformed.

RARE is the most overused term in auto value determination.

Case in point; Dodge Rampage. There are others, many others.

I absolutely LOVE the way the G8 looks, until I sat in one and drove it. What a FN unattractive AVEO looking interior. The seats are FN horrible and the aesthetics and ergonomics were terrible. Now I know these are just opinions, but Pontiac did not win any awards for that interior though.

I was actually in the market for one when I bought my V. Now I know that more Vs were produced than G8s, but that has little to do with the VALUE between the two.

In 20 years, let's revisit this conversation and see who has the more valuable car. $100 bucks says it is not the G8 owners, but I still love the way thy look, especially in WHITE!

I can tell you're immature by the name calling and you know nothing about rare cars, since there were a shitload more CTS-V's made than G8 GXP's. Due to the fact that even the G8 GT is going for an average price of $25,000 4 years after it was made, shows they are retaining their value more than the CTS-V, which is worth about half the cost of when it was new for the 2007 and earlier model years.

I'd say anyone who has a chance at a GXP these days should go for it. The G8 in general is a great all-around car. Wish they still made them.

As for comments on the interior, true, not the best in the world but better than most. I've lost track of C6 owners who wish they had my seats for long trips. If you're skinny you can't relate but a poor ol' fat boy like me appreciates the room

Name calling? Nancy? Really?

shitload? about 3-4000 more

WOW! You got but hurt about Nancy?

I love your sense of humor.

I could have got nasty and I do apologize if you got offended by the Nancy remark, but damn grow a pair and a sense of humor; it was a ******* joke.

The ocean full of water could not wash away your pride. Good luck in the real world.

You might want to try again on your prices sweetheart; you are a tad off.

I checked prices on the 2007 CTS-V and they are about the same as a 2008 G8 GT. Considering the CTS-V was $50,000 new and the 8 GT was $33,000 new, I'd say the value of the CTS-V is quickly going into the dumpster.

It's also an excellent car in every respect as well as being 1 of 1,800 and the last muscle car Pontiac ever produced. The Dodge Rampage is none of those and a terrible car, so it's worth nothing obviously. The G8 GXP's value is already reflects in it's resale. Many people who purchased them new can turn around now and sell them for more than we paid for them new.

None of that is disputable, the GXP will always bring more money than the GT and attract far more interest. Especially GXPs that are stock, complete and very low mileage. Like the Solstice GXP coupe G8 GXP owners that keep their cars nice will always be able to get their money back out of it and then some.

Your post just shows how over your head all of this is.

I hope fuel economy doesn't bother you that much. Those things get the same fuel economy as a truck, 14/21 I think.

It amazes me how some people are concerned about gas mileage when they buy a muscle car. I'm getting 18 mpg with active fuel management disabled, and I don't driver like a grandpa so I'm happy with that.

Maybe it's just me then, because I'm a poor working class white kid who likes muscle cars but is looking to save where possible. I guess I should have bought a Civic.

15/24 as shipped. I actually see better in current trim, YMMV.

I'm not exactly rolling in the dough either, but I'd buy an economy car if gas mileage was a concern of mine. I do ride my harley to work a lot when the weather is nice, so that saves me some $$$ at the pump.

I agree. It is amazing how much G8's are selling for.

I bitch about it more than I should but then again I am going out a lot more than I used to. The car is so much fun on the road it is hard to keep out of the pedal. You should see my friends' faces as they see the fuel gauge drop in front of their eyes.
