Default Livernois Stage 1 Cam Swap With Dyno Numbers

I finished up my Livernois Stage 1 Cam swap and I have to say I couldn't be happier.

Previous mods:

Vararam Cold Air
ARH 1-7/8" Long Tube Headers w/catted X-pipe
Solo Performance Axle-Back
Underdrive Pulley
Nitrous Tune
Mickey Thomson 295's on 17" wheels

New Mods:
Livernois Stage 1 Cam (224/230, .581/.590, 114 LSA)
DOD Delete Kit
Retune (I'll be running a 75 shot, but I would feel perfectly safe spraying more on this tune)

Here's the same graph, but with the added graph of the bolt-on/75 shot in green.

When I originally had the car tuned with the headers, I had him set the shift point to 6300, but I noticed the power was dropping hard by then and I was a bit nervous about revving the DOD lifters that high, so I had it set back to 6000. Now with the new cam I have it set to 6500 rpm.

The car pulls hard and a few preliminary "test runs" show that it seems to be running strong. It also drives very nicely, with little indication that the car is cammed, other than the sound.

I will be getting 1/4 mile numbers ASAP. I was supposed to go today, but it looks like rain.

Here's a idle clip:

Thanks! I think it's almost as fast now on motor as it was before on the 75 shot.

Numbers are the same as mine with a cam like the livernois 1. Do you have numbers with the spray and camshaft?

I don't. I forgot to bring a full bottle to the dyno, so I wasn't able to get nitrous dyno numbers.

Went to the track tonight and ran 12.73 @ 113.95 and backed if up with a 12.67 @ 113.97 with a 2.080 60'. Overall I'm very pleased with the car's performance after the cam swap.

sounds great!

what happened to the 60'??

Street tires?

i hit a 2.08 creeping out on my Breytons but went 12.26 @115 (bouncing 3-4 shift a few times). I never got a chance to run again that night due to oil spills. was going to try to get that 3-4 shift to work. goal for me was 12.0's in street trim. i know i'm there and then some for next time lol.

I think I'm gonna have to just roll the dice, since I'm not planning on pulling it apart to check as part of my 3000 mile maintainence interval

Are the lifters the problem or the cam itself? How many miles was on yours?

My 60' went into the toilet once I put the Mickey Thompsons on. They are 27.2" tall as opposed to the 26.8" stock tires and it really kills my gearing. They are also slightly heavier. 2.07-2.08 is the best I can get out of it launching it as hard as I can. I did some back to back runs (before the cam) with both tires and the car seems to go about 2 tenths and 1.5 mph faster with the stock tires. I was getting 1.95 60's with the stockers. I was planning on trying both sets out with the cam, but the track got rained out two weeks in a row, so I'm done for the year.

I'm sure the stock tires will hook fine at the track, I'm just not sure how they'll do if I spray a 75 shot.

Nice! I've been thinking about this cam package too because it can be used with the stock torque converter.

Thinking about getting slightly more aggressive though and perhaps a 3x00 stall to boot.

Thanks man! Most likely won't be any more videos from me. I still have my fun, but there's too much retarded drama when you post a video.
