Well color me bashful then. Best of luck to the new owner, hope the work is as good as it looks. I didn't think cars with frame damage could be sold because they aren't street legal, and TX has very strict salvage laws. I guess there's a way around something for everyone. There was a black GXP that sold in San Antonio for $24,500 about 5 months ago, that one had 51k on it. Clean history. I almost bought it, but was a "day late" to commit. The bargains are out there, some people are just very proud of their cars.

 

Frame damage is way more common than you think. Like I said just replacing one of the rear quarter panels on your car is considered frame damage.

Frame damage and salvage are not the same thing. Once a car is branded with frame on these reports it is really hard to get financed.

The reason is repossessions. Banks have found out when they repo a car that has frame on autocheck or carfax they lose big money in the auction.

So now they stay away from financing frame damaged branded vehicles. This has just started recently. Even though it is a clean title it can have frame damage. There is no branding of the title for just frame damage.

What really sucks is when someone hits you and the repairs will cause frame damage they don't tell you and you will lose value and you are not compensated for it.

 

I've owned many cars over the past 30+ years and hands down would take the G8 over the others including C5 corvette. Looks great, rides great, fits a family and can be modded to outrun anything but the truly exotic and expensive cars. And, some day you will see them being sold on Mecum and Barrett-Jackson for a heck of a lot more than low $20k's

 

seems a little high. Thats about what we paid for the wifes 09 in october with less miles. And hers is sports and the other package and sunroof.

 

But this one has 10k in dealer installed mods. LS3, full kooks exhaust and tuning. Doubt your wife's runs like a raped ape.

Saw 1 tiny stone chip on left ram air. P.S. if you live near be and buy it before me I'll K.Y.A.
