New Job= new vehicle (need advice)
Like I said I have a new Job offer at Charles Schwab to be a broker, and will be looking to upgrade the GTX this summer, hopefully.
Here is my list of option and the +/-. Admin feel free to move to another section.
The problem for everything comes with trying to find something with low miles and @ a decent price
Take into consideration i drive 110Miles a day to and from work. At least until the end of July
Option 1
2008-2009 CTS V
Positive: Everything, This is my #1 choice
Negative: Price
Option 2
2006-2009 Jeep SRT8
Negative: Fuel consumption, Basic interior/Dash
There is an 08' in town only 28K miles Asking $29000
Option 3
G8 GT
Negatives: Basic interior
Positives: can be found for pretty cheap with low miles, Powerful, use of excess $ to purchase upgrades
Option 4
New Infiniti G37x/s/IPL
Positives: Can be found cheap with lowish miles
Negatives: not too familiar with them in person
Option 5
2006-2010 Audi S4
Negative: can be pricey, not too much experience.
good friend bought a brand new 2012 S4, and its a beast. Got me looking
Option 6
Lexus IS350
Can be found for decent price/Miles
Future upgrades to consider:
Wheels
Suspension
Brakes
Full Audio/video (which im tempted to transfer from the GTX)
Id like to be in the low 13s-high 12s.
I feel like the G8 will get me to where i want to be @ the cheapest price but the CTSV and SRT8 are my top choices. Which of course are the most expensive.
I need to stay under $27000
Iv been looking for years, literally, im just not sure what would be best.

You can find a GXP for less than a 2nd gen Ctsv.
I haven't seen any 09 Ctsv's for less than 30k.
I would say stick to gm. The audi's are nice but tend to have issues once they are out of warranty.
The g37's are also nice but not a whole lot of extra performance can be had past the basic stuff, without spending a lot of money.
Idk much about the is350.
The jeeps are also nice but love drinking the premium. 14 mpg average from my friends 07 srtgc.
If you went a g8 gt route it would be one of the cheapest for total cost and maintenance. Plus I'm averaging 24 mpg mixed on regular 87 for now.
They are tuned for 87 so once your done with you commuting days you can switch to a 93 tune.

I really like my G8. I was in the market for a maxima, G37 or G8 when I was looking, with the G8 at the top of the list. After test driving all 3 it was no choice at all.
I don't know how big of a guy you are but the G37 didn't fit me well at all. With the seat back my shoulder was into the B-pillar big time. Not very comfortable.

I would get something that doesn't use a major amount of fuel, is more affordable to insure and something you won't mind putting a huge amount of miles on. I commuted briefly in a G8 GXP, it gets expensive real quick.

The commuting will be done with the GTX, at least until we move. I called out to the infiniti dealership but didnt have what i wanted for a test drive. Ill be calling back regularly, and my good friend works at the Cadillac dealership in indy. I just havent had the chance to go drive a V

You could go with either a G8 GT or a first gen CTS-V for a reasonable price and still have wiggle room in your budget for mods in the future.
As for the business side of things -- if you already have an existing book of business you're bringing with you, good luck with the transition. If you're starting with zero AUM on day #1, you might want to hold off of the new car purchase for a bit if you're relying on your income stream as a broker. Will take a bit to build up the production to cover the draw and the taxes. And given that grid rates are typically based on trailing-12 month revenues, it takes a bit to get that where you would like (without a grid bump built into your comp plan for some period of time).

Why does changing jobs mean you gotta get out of a cool car and start driving keeping up with the jones' car. Never have understood that train of thought. Get a G8 and enjoy it they are really nice cars and mod friendly. Forget about the other over priced snob mobile's.
Drive what you want especially if it's paid for. You'll go broke trying to support an image.

Save your money, get a good reliable/fun car (like a G37/Lexus IS, etc) and plan for retirement now lol.. I have 15 yrs left and i wish i started sooner. then, when you've mapped out your "after work life" budget, get a hobby car.
DO NOT COMMUTE WITH A CAR YOU FALL IN LOVE WITH... it'll break your heart racking up the miles (once you move). good luck.. SAVE SAVE SAVE..
