Default Newbie - Found a great 09 G8 GT.. Should I?

Found this pristine '09 G8 GT in the rare Stryker Blue, Premium Package and Sports Package (No sunroof D but with bluetooth (2009.5?).. One owner clean carfax.. and the kicker? Only 10k miles. Though amazing, it is being sold at quite a premium price as well. $29k. Now I've been looking for months for a decent low mileage G8, can't find anything decent under 50k imo (some excellent G8 GT with 60kmiles are going for $23k I am finding). What y'all think? Even at a primum, I know I will love and have this car for years. I also don't drive anyhting too hard, maybe 10k miles a year. I have no plans to sell but if i did, in 5 years from now I think a 60k miles G8 GT would still be wanted. Ok, let me know what y'all think, suggestions, yay nay? Cheers.

I worry about the TSB on the LCAs, but I live in a warmer climate... it seems it is the extreme cold that really casues them to fail and the horrible clanking noises that comes after. I've got great credit, and honestly the payments are maybe 50$ more for another $5k extra i will be spending over a 6year term, @ 3%IR. I am taking a look at it tomorrow as well as a test drive, trying to find anything i don't like about the car... though i don't think i will.

for that price , get a gxp , i bet you can spend 32 and get a gxp with less than 36k on it . I know its more money but its more power and fun and looks .

I agree, GXP if you're willing to spend that much. Most of the GXPs are lower mileage anyways.

Same here, for that kind of money go GXP.

I love my GT but, I bought mine 4 years ago with 13,000 miles for 26,500 loaded with even the moon roof.

Hope this helps>>>>>

Give him a lowball offer and when he turns it down, give it a few weeks and then up your offer some. He's not going to sell at that price. If he really wants to sell, he'll eventually come down on price. You just have to patiently up your offers over time till he gives in.

Carmax car.. no haggle..

I would, found some decent GXP with lower miles but still 50-60k... most wanting 35k+ getting close to a rough payment already at 6years.. not putting anything down and no trade in.

Another vote for a GXP if youre going to spend that kind of cash. The difference between a 10k mile car and a 30k mile car that's 4 years old is going to be likely minimal given equal treatment and care.

I agree.. for that money go for a GXP. Or shop around for a while and find a GT in nice shape even with a few more miles they can definitely be found. 22k on a nice GT and a few grand in mods (DoD delete, intake, small cam, headers) would be a great car and still far under 29k.
