I'm waiting on a 90 degree elbo from spectre performance so I can finish the air intake system. New era picked up about 10 hp without a tune just by getting rid of the stock air box and adding their intake. I'll get to run it in a month or so at ozark dragway for a test and tune night. I would love to see some low 13's with this car. I should have another thousand miles on it by then, so, maybe a little more broken in.

FYI if you add a CAI and it dosent lean the car out then to me it's not working. I have tried 5 different varations and have seen -5 - + 2 hp with them on with out tuning , comparied to most CAI's that I install, were we have to retune or there will be a lean condition [ that means it's working ] . Try it at the track with and with out let us know how you do .

You have tried 5 different variations on the G8 already? I'm curious to see what made power and what didn't

K&N drop in as in just replacing the factory air filter? I thought the IAT was integrated into the MAF on these cars

You can split the wireing into the maff and attach a seperate iat to get more accurate temps, it's no biggie.

cheers

I just didn't think someone had already gone through the trouble of doing it on a G8 already.

If mine doesn't run any better, thats ok. It sounds and feels better and for sure looks better. I'll let you know when I get the 90 degree elbo. I'm building it mainly to show. Its a bonus if it runs better too.

The OP in this thread has allready sprayed one So someone shifting a sensorr around isn't a big deal I would think. We have been doing it for a while in OZ as you know we also like to rune our cars in SD mode as well.
