For my area, at the time (early May) it was not that bad of a negotiated price. There were not many G8 GTs at any of the dealers in my area and most of them were asking above MSRP. I did have one Dealer agree to sell me one at Supplier price but he did not have a car yet. I waited for a while but when it was apparent that he was not going to get a car in before the loyalty discount was up I went back to the dealer that had a car to see what they would do. Mind you I had been at this dealer before, ready to buy, but at that time they would not go below $1K over MSRP so a few weeks later at $500 below MSRP did no seem too bad with the loyality discount. Yeah, I could have waited and got a better price but lost the $1K loyalty discount so it was even and I have been driving the car for a month.

There's a few around here, ive only seen 1 v6 and that was at a dealer which had 3 v8's, they had a mark up and had left the paper on one, but when i ask they said there was none now. A chevy dealer had a pretty base gt not titled and were asking 31k, it sat about 2 months lol Are the v6's even selling well? They dont get much better gas mileage and are what 1-2k less, why not just get a GT the way i look at it

I think the G8 GXP's will be even harder to find than the GT's when they start arriving from Aussie. On second thought, with a $35K-$40K MSRP, they may not be so scarce. That's what my son-in-law is hoping.

MGM Base GT Sticker $29,995
Selling Price $29,418
Less $1000 GM Card Dollars & $2,000 Lease to buy cash GMAC
Net vehicle price $26,418
The dealer offered to sell the vehicle at supplier price $29,2xx but I would not have been able to use my GM card dollars.

72 months at 0% doesn't exist for the car. You're getting something pulled on you if they are leading you to believe it does.

No zero for 72 months around here. I receive suppliers discount but it isn't much. We have alot around central Florida. It's a nice car but the GXP is more of what I'm looking for. They will hack everyone when it arrives. I want to dive it before pulling the trigger on anything.

Or the finance guy at the dealership isn't the smartest. I ran into this when I picked mine up on Saturday. Mine actually wrote the deal up at 0%. He did not know the car was excluded from the promotion, plus the fact that every other deal he had written that week was at 0%.
He also forgot to collect a check for my early lease turn in and also forgot to apply the $2,000 lease to buy cash. He literally reprinted the paperwork 3 times while we were sitting there.

You can do whatever you want. But GM is NOT incentivising the 0% for 72 months at all. So individual dealerships can take the hit on the financing if they wish I'm sure, it happens all the time. But, it isn't national, read some posts from above. I'm in DFW and no dealer has offered 0% for 72 months when I ASKED for it. They offered supplier pricing, and I think 5.9% for 60.

I've been in sales for years and of course if you're not doing well you may do over the top stuff to get cars or whatever out the door.
GM hasn't told a SINGLE dealership to offer 0% on G8's or Corvette's. The day they'd offer 0% on the vette I'd buy one. Unfortunately, those cars still make GM money as they sell well and there aren't any competitors right now. G8 closest is the Dodge Charger, but it really blows that away in all aspects, and the Corvette of course has nothing...
