Yeah, you can fit a car seat...the rear seats are actually pretty spacious. I have a 3 year old and a 6 year old, one in a booster, the other in a reg car seat...they fit back there fine. The PITA part is getting them back there...I mean, it's still a 2 dr. car. Mine's just a weekend car so every once in a while it isn't bad, but I wouldn't want to do it everyday.

check out a CTS-V if its in your budget. 400hp and 4 doors. plus you can play movies on the nav screen which would be great for kids.

Ive got an 04' GTO with a 1yr old and a 3yr old. I daily drive mine , I just sold my truck. The back seats actually have the latch system to anchor the car seats down. Its not to bad. Start your car before you go to move your seats around...power seats can be hell on a battery (without the car running) Theres a lot of room back there.

If you asked me 5 yrs ago.....I would have never thought id be talking about anchor systems and car seats! Its funny how kids change your whole outlook on everything .

Yeah great back seats. For a few months I had to drop and pick up my son from school, he's 3, and the seat fit back there perfect. As others mentioned it has a nice latch system that makes putting his seat in a breeze.

I just made sure to put a nice thick towel under the seat to keep it from getting scratched or ripped.

There's a thread in the appearance section on ls1gto on how to fix it if you're out of warranty.

If you need to use the back seat of the GTO a lot, you'll end up hating the slow motion electric seats. While a child seat will fit, it's far from ideal. Not trying to sway you from getting a GTO (I love mine), just want you to know what you're getting into. For adults, it's a tight squeeze getting past the front seat (unless you're a limber skinny person). Once you're sitting back there, it's comfy though.

You'll find one. Hang in there. Since the bottom fell out on the prices of them they are a great bang for the buck.

Give it time and don't settle for something just to get a car. I wanted a specific GTO and it took almost 4 months for me to find it and when I did it was 2500 miles away.

Keep looking and you will find what you want.

I agree. I found my wife's GTO online, and flew from Louisiana to socal to pick it up. That was a great three day drive home. We're actually having to go through the same thing shortly too, with our first child being born in about 2 weeks. Looks like I'm trading in my Trans Am for a Land Rover for the wife, and I'll start driving around the GTO.
