An LS3 vette with boltons is virtually as fast as a Zo6, why buy the Zo6 at all?
I hope you never had problems staying ahead of 6.0 litre GTOs with your mods.
And what do you mean you have seen more ls2 fail?
I have seen a ZR1 with a shitty driver lose to a mildly modded Z06. Doesnt mean that the ZR1 isnt a better car.

the cubic inch disparity between the z06 vs. the ls3 vette is huge, thus there is alot more potential for the z06, the cubic inch disparity between the ls2 vs ls1 is what a mere 15 cubes or so.

The fact of the matter is that the 05/06 is better than the 04, and mod for mod will make more power. That is not to say the 04 is a bad car. I loved my 04. Either year can be fast as hell.
OP I would go for the 05/06 but you won't be unhappy with an 04.
