I went with a sts kit and started upgrading everything on the kit they sent me from day one. I finally got it as good as it could be and decided a front mount was the way to go. I have a turbonetics 76mm sts kit that I would have gave u ral cheap but I would never recommend a rear mount for anyone. I had cars with 100whp less than me pull me out the hole so bad I could never pull them in. I was in a 550whp gto vs 460 whp 04 pullied cobra. We run 3-4x a week.

damn. i envy you guys with the skill to fab up your own turbo kits. I dont know how to weld, and if i did i wouldnt have the equipment (lift, welder, etc) to fab a kit. Anybody in South Florida want someone to give them a hand as they fab their kit, or do engine work in general? If i cant help, i can buy beer and shoot the ****!! lol. I would love to even watch and learn.

my questions exactly, that pullied cobra is not gonna out race if you. My first assumption is that you are a stick car.
With the right stall and boost, anything is possible. Grant it, he was on a two step and had a built motor, but still. nothing wrong with a rear mount, and your first problem was sticking with the sts piping. and everything else they send.

as long as you can set up a rear mount right (or have someone else do it for you) you will love it, ive had mine set up wrong and then took it to someone that actually knew them, difference was night and day, btw jax how close is yours to being complete?

dude, im trying to get down to rich next sat to tune. But im not sure i can hit that mark now. Im very close, just need to do the oil lines and put my str8 pipes in. i had pipes made to delete my cats and resonators. So i gotta wrap them and install them. but other then taht, springs, injectors, and oil stuff and i can tune.
you get yours back yet??

dang that is close man! I havent got mine back yet, i know the springs are installed, the wastegate is there, i dunno if the boost controller has made it or not, but not too much left to do besides the tune, which i think he is going to do next weekend as well, and if he cant get it done by then i will get it on the 17th when we meet up for the purdue cruise, which you should come up for btw
but more on topic, i have the 60 mm turbo and im maxing it out at around 500 hp or a little more at 10psi just for reference, so if youre wanting 700 then it was a good choice with the 76, and 700 on stock bottom end, man you are much braver than me, ive already been through one engine and wont make that mistake again

Just didnt perform as I expected.
Must be a stick car
sorry for ya
Stock A4 when I had the kit so I aslo didnt bother with any tqmanagement when tuning. Now i have a performabuilt lvl3 and vig 3200
my questions exactly, that pullied cobra is not gonna out race if you. My first assumption is that you are a stick car.
That cobra is sick on the streets. His power is instant so he gets ahead and it takes almost a 1/4 mile to reel him in. And he has to go from a 30 roll since hes a m6. Found out that my #'s werent what the shop showed me a dyno for. SnL said my car might have been making 470whp instead of 520. and thats about right since the cobra was making 460whp.

I also live in louisana and like taking my car on trips and have had to pull over and wait too many times to count. Hands down the kytp kit is more efficent. The only thing that I had left to fix was the piping. I had to rebuild the turbo tho because of their faulty pumphttp://

http:...?v=AJi20DwyKqE

Man,,,,For the money ,,,you should just pick up my buddys brand new F1A gto kit thats listed in here for $4000. He paid like $6800 .Has everthing with it too but the injectors and the tune (just a thought)
I would stay away from the rear mount too.
I definatly would go with a front mount turbo or supercharger over a rear mount anyday of the week. Why run all that extra tubing and **** if you didnt have too? Then gotta deal with the turbo oil scavanging pump to boot
Plan on a forged motor too!!! If you wanna play you gotta pay !LOL
