Oh don't worry, I have probably seen them lol. I literally search every website about everyday. I have email updates of new ones that come up for sale. Only thing stopping me right now is waiting on getting the door dings fixed on my truck and putting the front fender liners back on and it will be up for sale. I know there is a black 06 (possibly one of the ones you are looking at) that has low miles, but it has red interior. I want the black interior and it has to be A4

The first one i actually tried to trade my truck in on was red/red lol. I just like the sleeker look of the black interior. Don't get me wrong though, if their was a crazy deal on a red interior GTO, it would be on. I seriously can't wait. This 13.3 I ran in this truck once is the fastest vehicle I have had, so I know the GTO is going to feel like a rocket once i get my first round of mods done

Oh boy this is going to get controversial REAL quick now.
But think about it. It has the same power as an f body, significantly more weight, an IRS, and skinny tires.
So it runs slower then F bodies.
Now i've only seen 6 or 7 of them run IRL and the stock ones seemed to be high 13s low 14s. One had heads and cam and was running consistent low 13s.
Im sure people here will start quoting the record holding runs for 04s as the norm real soon.
If you do roll racing however the difference between the two, (ls1s and ls2s) stock vs stock, the difference will be quite a bit.

i been reading a few of your post and you need to get off the 05-06 nuts.
can you show me what a average ls2 gto put down stock?
my 100% stock ls1 with 80k mile put down 302whp and 324wtq. that was my car i seen 290-315rwhp out of a stock ls1 GTO.
and as for a drivers race i raced a stock 05 vs my stock 04 and won. its a drivers race.

Roll racing ls2 vs ls1 is by no means a drivers race.
You need to get real.

I went to the track stock. Put in 7 runs. Best was 13.0 @ 109 with a 2.0 60ft.
Have you went to the track whilst stock? What was your ET and trap?
Plus the LS2 and LS1 were simply NOT created equal. It isn't just the displacement that seperates the two. The LS2 may "only" peak 50 more hp but it has a fatter torque curve and more hp EVERYWHERE and has 500 more RPM's to work with( pretty big difference from a roll, i know, dig blah blah blah). There are going to be those that try and argue that there isn't must difference...but there is, and this leads it to being easier to drive fast, so even with a slightly worse driver it will be easier to be more consistent.
Not to mention if one races on a track (other then the 1320) the 04 brakes are worse as well, the strut problems are also more commonly found on 04s.
Not even to mention its better responsiveness to mods once basic bolt ons begin, and the option to have l92 heads and IM for a very reasonable price.

The averages are quite a bit apart of what these cars run.
I mean sure if a terrible driver with the LS2 ran into a pro NHRA driver in an ls1 then it would be a "drivers race" then.

as for track numbers i don't have any never been to the track.
i never said the ls1 is faster then the ls2 in a perfect world. cuz there is no replacement for displacement.

You can say that with every car if one driver is a parapalegic or someone was driving an M6 then an LS2 would lose to a V6 mustang, does not make it a drivers race stock for stock because of one such example.
