Default 2005 gto gas mileage

I bought a 2005 gto ,auto in march of this year it is stock except for a cold air intake. The gas mileage is terrible it gets 13-14 mpg combined street and highway driving. i dont beat on it that is normal driving. I took it to speed inc. and asked them to check the tune thinking previous owner may have modded it and left in a tune but they said it has a stock tune and everything is o.k. The car runs great except for the gas mileage. Is this what everyone else gets with a ls2? I thought that these cars got 20-25 on the highway? Thanks

City, 14-15, highway 23,24, sometimes 25 on long highway trips, combined for me is around 17, but it all depends on how you drive. Oh I see your an auto, i guess I probably get better mileage then, gotta love having two overdrive gears.

Does seem a bit low. I usually get 18ish combined with my m6. I'd be surprised if the auto is really that low but then again, it's a big heavy car with a thirsty engine.

Put a turbo on and you'll pick up a few

Nope that's pretty much normal for an a4 ls2 I don't think I've ever got over 15 or 16 combined driving. A tune could help out some and the cold air intake probably is decreasing the mpg some to. I got lower gas mileage when I put the lpe cai on mine.

I drive about 70% hwy (cruise at 75)/ 30% city.
I usually average about 20-21mpg

I keep the revs under 2k unless I'm doing a fun "Merging Pull".......everyday on the way home from work.

06' A-4 saw today after about 75% city driving, babying off the line 17.5 mpg
I'm more than pleased, based on that my Trans/Am got maybe 10-12 city, around 15-20 highway. I believe it was a pretty serious tune haha.
