Info on the GTO cam...
In this months issue of Hot Rod, they have an article on the GTO. On page 63, they talk with Bob Lutz.
So, i'm taking this as the Australian LS1 doesn't have the same output as our LS1's have/had. So they included the US-spec cam for the GTO's LS1, which would be the same as the f-body and y-body cam. This would obviously explain why the GTO isn't dyno'ing anymore than everyone elses f-bodys.

HRM: What were the major hurdles in getting the Monaro ready?
Bob Lutz: The rear-impact standards here are more stringent, so the fuel tank had to be repositioned over the rear suspension for the needed protection. This is why you'll see a vertical bulkhead in the trunk of the GTO that isn't there on the Monaro. Also, the Australian-specification LS1 was a bit weak for our goals, so we reworked the intake and camshaft to boost horsepower to 350. In all, there were over 400 details we had to redesign or finesse.
