I've always loved the HSV GTO/Vauxhall Monaro VXR look as it gives the exterior a much-more refined and aggressive look compared to the bland Monaro VZ and the super-bland Pontiac GTO. When funds become available, I will seriously consider doing a full conversion.
JHP lists the conversion kit at a total of $5,871 (with the Lumina SS headlights and not including the price of the side skirts).
So, if cost wasn't a factor, would you do the conversion? Thanks in advance for the opinions.

Not really a fan of that look. There is a Lumina SS kit for like the Middle East/South Africa export of this car that I would rather go with if money was not option.

Yes. Years ago when I had my 06 I was going to do this inside and out and retain the Pontiac and use the HSV "GTO" badging.
I have HSV GTS wheels on my G8 GXP, the same ones the original G8 show car was wearing.

Even with an '05-'06 hood and a dual exhaust rear bumper, these GTOs STILL look bland as f_ck! That idea should be enough destroy any concern to keep one's GTO factory-looking. Make it look better and sound better. Drive it almost anywhere and anytime. Drive it forever. Treat it like the way it was meant to be treated: a freakin' car!

woo not trying to start a flame or anything, i was just posting concern of it losing value doing this.
I agree it is bland and if you notice I have work done to mine as well.. including side pipes so its not completely stock looking.

Not a problem. I understand that we're all individuals and have different opinions and priorities concerning our cars.

Ive gotten quite a few compliments just going to simple places like taco bell haha i find most people are pretty well impressed with the GTO simply because its unusual, at least here in IL I think I might be the only one in town with one most people don't actually know what it is.

I dont own a GTO but, I prefer the OEM look. With some suspension work, nice wheels and a few details here and there these cars can be made to look great. Kind of a sleeper vibe. That kit honestly looks out of proportion and its slightly on the edge of looking cheesy, IMO.

When I had my GTO it actually stood out much, much more than the internet would have had me believe. It garnered compliments everywhere and I always noticed people looking at it commuting. My current G8 GXP, not so much. But then again, my GXP isn't Brazen Orange.
