gm had invested alot in the comeback of the gto. tyhey just didnt have anything is the states that fit the bill so they took what they could get from holden of australia . a great car without doubt, the platform was perfect. didnt resemble the old goat at all and it didnt fare well in the market place. they just did the best they could do to change the image by sticking some body effects and loud exhaust on a very plain looking car.

i was stoked when i thought the new camaro might be avalible san power windows, pwer seats etc....to tell the truth i was going to buy one. had permission from the wife and everything. once i found out it was all about the bells and whistles , i decided to build another car. my 72 camaro will have ac, 4 wheel disc brakes,ps, full suspension upgrades, 550 hp LS3 power, overdrive auto, and will weigh 3300 lbs tops. if the damn factory wont offer power without all the crap, ill make my own. by the way, its gonna cost about the same $ to build, but is 39 yrs closer to collectability. hotrod ingenuity wiil prevail .

It might be worth more to people who know what the SAP parts are but in the grand scheme of things it doesn't increase the value. At least not yet.
That and the SAP parts are a matter of taste. The recessed grilles everyone loves I think are hideous. The SAP rear cover is horrid too. But I like the front fascia extension and side skirts which I had on my LS2 GTO.
