2.0 out of the stang and 2.25 with the Goat. It's not the best track. The best 60ft I had with the stang was a 1.9 at a different track where I ran the 8.71 with stock gears. I know if I can knock .2 off of the GTO's 60ft I can run really well. I will try and get some drag bags or suspension put on this week. I plan on going back once that happens.

Try the Energy Suspension master poly kit....get the "race" kit....they are a bit stiffer, but with the weight of our cars they feel good on the street

I'm trying to keep really good ride quality. That is one thing I love about the GTO. Are there any other solutions?

Wow 2.25 is pretty awful no offense i know your just getting used to it. I'm not a 6spd guy so i don't know much to eliminate the wheel hop but my suggestion would be the obvious and get a set of MT drag radials first and if that doesn't fix it then i would go with suspension. Start small and work your way up.

Btw once you get the hang of it you will be in love all over again. Don't let your 1st time out there discourage you. It happens to a lot of new owners.

Yeah usually I can hop in a car and run great. I don't know if it was track prep or what. But I either bogged or the car spun and hopped horribly. When I went into 2nd she hopped and went sideways. I was looking at the wall in 2nd gear when I ran that 9.12.

Go to Gforces web site and buy a set of their anti wheel hop axles. Trust me it is the best solution out there for the wheel hop. Be careful to keep that wheel hop under control because as the rest of the M6 owners can tell you that is what causes the axles to shear off at the splines. Then you aren't going any where.

My god 700 dollars. I will do this later but I think I will stay away from the strip and focus on power now. I love going to the strip but 700 dollars is a lot to spend on something I will only really get use from 4 or 5 times a year. Thanks though man I will surely get them later. Or if I win some money somehow.

Yup. It seems everything on this car is expensive to upgrade. I have a lot sunk in this thing to make it go like it does. I have drag bags as well. But I can tell you the best mod dollar for dollar on the M6 has got to be the gear change. The 3.91's are a blast when you under 500hp. I had to go back to the stock gears because I am over that now and 1st gear was just useless. Good luck and be careful. This car can get around on you in a heartbeat on wet pavement.

GTOs arent easy to make fast like camaros. Get some new rear shocks, they are probly worn out

Wait to get a dyno tune untill you have Longtube's, Svede Cai with IAT relocate, & ported LS2 intake manifold. These are proven mods and pretty easy on the wallet.

Also look at drag bags for a 100$ & a set of stock 17s with drag radials will help you cut that 60 ft down.

Rear springs too...in 06 I got 1.2" drop Eibach springs for my 04 and they actually raised the rear end of the car almost 3/4"

I have noticed my rear end is very low and very soft. If I eliminate my wheel hop I will be happy whenever I go back to the strip. I really want to mod some other things first.

They can be made fast....I just handed a crotch rocket his *** satuerday...beat him by over 10 car lengths then let off of it.

All I have done to my 04 goat is some suspension work, tranny work and a 408

I was going to go a full LS3 topend with a V.2 cam. However, I think the way I will go is the way mentioned above. Some Pacesetter or OBX longtubes (leaning toward PS since you can get them coated for a great price and we know how heatsoak is an issue with this car), Vararam, and ported stock intake just for some good power. Then I can focus on suspension and wheels/tires, then later, after the cam, will spend the money on the LS3 top-end
