I know you wanna do it on street tires but if you get some drag radials it should help you out a lot.

Thnx for the feed back dtsti yeah I know eventually I'll have 2 ..So far ive got my 60' down to a 2.0 but seems like when I hit second I break the tires loose a lil to much, probably costing me a couple of tenths. Im thinking maybe cutouts and ud pulley should help me towards my goal...maybe wider tires or a lil suspension mod

Stock tires should be about 25-26# pressure. LTs, a tune and the stars aligning could get you there. DRs make a big difference as for every 1/10th savings in the 60' add up to double at the other end.

yeah thats about where I keep my tire pressure feels like it hooks best there..only problem is when I hit second I chirp the hell out of the tires...i figures its costing me at least 1/10 or two

Drag bags help alot with wheel hop. When im on street tires I just boil them off lol but im also alittle more than bolt on's. If you are spining in 2nd idk if drag bags will help, you definately need dr's

no ****..ok kool well Ill definitely try heating them up more. I usually go around the water box short burn out then line up. Maybe heating them up more will help...right now Im shooting for a ud pulley and cutouts see what kinda of difference they make. After that hopefully going for dr's and cam kit end of the year..oh yeah also gonna try removing tow hitch and v brace on gas tank free up a lil weight

I did 13.13 at 105.8mph back on a rare cool May evening at a sea level track. I had JHP MAF pipe, K&N cone, weight reduction, UDP, 245DR & tune.

What is your MPH and where is your track? Summer not really a good time of year if you are down South. Track prep also important. Sometimes DRs are no improvement over radials if the track prep is poor. Well, the latter is my experience.

The fellow who got 108mph out of a stock 2004 has an uncommonly strong engine.

Pulley is an incremental adder. Little gain on stock, more with mods. Strictly speaking it frees power but you know what I mean by it being as an adder.

^^^Good run you as well. I think you are on your way. A cooler evening and you are there as you certainly have the mph. Fellow back in 2004 did 12.9 at 107mph stock. That always causes problems here and other GTO sites as there is the belief there is no way to break into the 12s stock with an 04.

I suppose you speed shift? You know..slap the clutch while you shift and never lift your foot from the gas pedal.

Yeah most of the time I speed shift but I often scrath 4 gears ..12.9 on a stock ls1 gto...Thats impressive must have been a cold *** night or thats one strong motor..well I guess it could possibly make sense ive seen that stock ls1 camaro run 12.6 with dr's n youtube. I think we're bout 300 lbs heavier so plusc we have the m112 zo6 tranny I suppose it could happen..

You don't want to do a monster burnout on street tires, it'll make them greasy. I used to go around the water box and do a quick 1st gear spin to clean the tires. I also ran them at 32psi.

I had Dynatech long tubes and cats, Speed Inc CAI, 160 t-stat, for mods and I ran a 12.9. To get that, I had to launch at idle and not power shift 1-2. If I came out hotter than idle or shifted 1-2, it would just blaze the tires.

So headers and CAI for me, netted .3 seconds over my best bone stock time of 13.25.

if you put in cutouts make sure you tune from them. my buddy lost 30 hp on the dyno when he opened his cutout on his trans am.
