Default looking to get exhaust

what sounds the best on a 6.0 GTO? the car has headers already. looking to get cat back. whats better 2.5 or 3.0inch. magnaflow, borla, or slp

I love the sound of headers going to stock cat back, so I just added some DMH low pro e-cutouts. Sounds AWESOME.

lots of options. depends how loud you want it.


ill say magnaflow while very quiet on a stock gto like mine has great quality.

Go to Maryland speed & get a Bassani. Then have the center muffler replaced with a X-Pipe. You will love it.

I vote Spintech as well. Car just sounds mean when you romp on it.

Yea I also have Kooks to stock catback and love it I am not going to waste money on catback :-P I would rather spend it on something else :-D

keep in mind the more you mod the louder it gets... i always recomend Magnaflow to people who plan to do a lot of modding

magnaflows are just quiet at idle. If you have the straight through design, they're going to be loud at WOT

It's quiet at idle like mentioned.

Also, with headers and cam of course you're going to make a magnaflow loud...hell your stock exhaust will be loud also with those.

If you just replace the catback with a magnaflow one, it's gonna idle and cruise quieter but will scream at WOT mainly due to the no resonator.

Off topic a bit but, how restrictive are the stock mufflers? I know the piping after the mufflers have all sorts of kinks.

I vote borla or spintech...both sound amazing...Corsa sounds great to if you like getting butt raped while buying it...
