Am I the only person that's had issues after claying? I did about half of my hood on my GTO and a lot of white specs starting showing in the paint. I didn't have that problem with the G8, lol.

I clayed and waxed my 05 GTO yesterday too....I bought it this weekend and someone didn't know what they were doing when waxing with high speed polisher...Looks like new now...

After you clay your car, you have to be sure to immediately lay down a minimum one coat of sealant and one coat of wax, to protect your clearcoat. If not, these white spots will start to appear (it's your clearcoat peeling or fading, exposing the base paint).

wow op that really looks great. i definitely need to do this to mine. guy that had it before me kept the car outside and obviously never did any work to it. i hope it turns out as well as yours did.

I appreciate it. I didn't have that problem when I did the G8, but it might be because I didn't see it and had already waxed it afterward. I quit once I saw it on the GTO and just waxed it, lol.

Need to get some wheels on that car man!

No, I haven't used those polishes. And yes...I do want some summer wheels! I am currently looking, comparing pictures of GTOs with different wheels to see where I want to go with it...
