Default a/c not blowing cold

so i picked up my 06 gto a couple of months ago and never used the a/c. now that its getting hot i figured to check if it works and to my suprise it didnt blow cold air. After further investigation, it turned out the valve in the low inlet was bad so i replaced it. after replacing it i vacuumed out the system for an hour and left the gauges connected for another hour after that to make sure i had no pressure drops indicating no leaks. After it passed that test i filled the car with close to 28oz of freon. Still the car does not blow cold air. the a/c compressor clutch does kick on and there are no leaks. is 28oz enough or too much considering the system had been emptied when i began. what do you think the problem is as i have ran out of solutions? thanks

get a pressure temp chart and isn't there a factory charge listed...i'm a heating and ac tech. you may have overcharged by alot.

28oz is about right, it call for 800grams(28.5xoz) +/- 25g according to the placard.

Low side pressure does seem high for an ambient of 55*, although most pressure charts start at 70*, so it's hard to say.

What is the temp coming out of the vents??

Here is a pressure chart for your reference..

im unaware of the temperature of the vents however ill go purchase a temperature reader tmrw. Do you have any ideas of what may cause this if there is a correct amount of freon?

Get a cheap thermometer like this one that you can just stick in the vent: https://www.google.com/shopping/prod...B4nZtQXlloHoAg

Honestly, I wouldn't even attempt to diagnose it with ambient temps of 55*. It's too cold for it to work properly. Wait until it's at least 70-75* ambient and you may see better performance..

Although my best guess would be a restriction on the low pressure side, which would explain the higher pressure.

i just did another test this time testing both high and low pressure sides. I got a 50psi reading on the low side and 65psi reading on the high side and its around 60 degrees outside. since the low side is high and the high side reading is very low wouldnt that be a bad compressor or control valve. My clutch kicks on the compressor so would that mean the compressor is 100 percent good or is there still a possibility that its failing. thanks
