well, I just called up GM Card Rebate to see how much I could use on an 04 GTO. I've got like $4000 built up but can only use $1000 of it. They said only a few were selected for the roundup program in this area and I wasn't one of them. With all the GM cars I've bought from them, you'd think I would have been selected........ya know what........F@#$ them.

I have the "current" platinum card. I called the GM Card (800) 771-7363. Spoke to a very nice lady by the name of Jessica, and explained what had transpired. She said thaey would take 100% care of it. Less than 1 hour later the dealer called me, and told me exactly what they were going to do. GM Card will pay the dealer, once cleared the dealer will send me a check. Les than an hour after that she called me to confirm.

Boy... just when I was starting to like my cavalier! I was thinking about getting one last month but now I am certain I want one. My faith in GM may just be restored. I feel bad for all you guys who bought a GTO just a couple months ago.

Thats nuts...travel! 3 months ago 24k was a no brainer in NY now , as you see under 20k is possible. Id at least look for low 20's by calling a few dozen dealerships.

Default newbie question

Just Curious - the invoice I have at KBB is 31,140, not 30,700 - is this change due to the automatic? - also those dealer coupons - do the dealers tell you if they are going to use them or do you need to negotiate? Right now I'm at 30,700 for an auto car and no coupons - seems like I should be doing better....
