corvette run down

Do his rings seal as well as yours? Is his carb optimally tuned for the lighter car? What are the tire pressures? How does his 60 foot compare to yours? even silly things like more bends in the fuel line can make a difference in et.
A lighter car can be at a disadvantage when it comes to traction and et, also. As far as halfway down the 1/4 nonsense, I would think that you would know that drag races are usually won in the first 60 feet. Every combo is different and unless the engines were built with swiss precision by the same person using the same parts, they will run different. That is why you will see ls-1's that go 13.5's and others go low 13's.
If there were not minute differences then we would all know what and ls-1 ta runs on the button and everyone would turn that in the 1/4. I am not understanding the point you are trying to make with my big bad chevelle kicks my buddies lighter camaro ***. If you want me to tell you the new gto can beat the vette, I will, but it will be a partial truth.
It doesn't matter what the car is, given the approximate same horsepower and driver skills, the lighter car always wins. PERIOD
IMHO what determines who wins is driver skill.
Top end mph is also a function of drag coefficient, ie aerodynamics. Guess what.. the firebird, camaro and corvette have the new gto beat there too.
To illustrate a point in regards to weight..if I give you a 30 lbs weight and tell you to run a given distance, you will run slower then if you didn't carry the 30lb weight. Now imagine if I gave you a 100lb weight.
If you don't understand then do some research on the net or better yet call Jim Force or the Nascar guys and fill them in on how you can get a car that is 600 lbs heavier to go faster then a lighter one. You will be rich, I guarantee it.
Hey maybe the vette you ran was running on 7 cylinders...just an idea
BTW I am not disputing your story, as it may have happened as you put it.
But don't expect it to happen again if the guy in the vette knows what he is doing.

(A lighter car can be at a disadvantage when it comes to traction and et) and (If you don't understand then do some research on the net or better yet call Jim Force or the Nascar guys and fill them in on how you can get a car that is 600 lbs heavier to go faster then a lighter one. You will be rich, I guarantee it.) Man make up your mind. Your contradicting yourself from the first of your little story until you get to the end. TRY to stay focused on what you are trying to say. And as far as me wanting you to tell me anything .....I'm not asking you to tell me ****!!! I do believe that you can dig deep enough to find some warped excuse of why someone is not agreeing with you. Maybe his jack weighed more than mine or maybe the wind on his side of the road was stronger, maybe his timing chain was wore out and his car was a tad bit out of time.....should i go on??? And as far as the race being won in the first 60 foot....BULLSHIT!!! You need to get rid of the moped you are riding and get a real car and visit the 1/4 alittle bit. Get rid of the books you are reading and turn the T.V. off , get in the car find someone that can help you out on what to do to get moving at the starting line and MAYBE you'll pickup on whats going on in the real world. As to the seven cyl. on the vette......maybe he had a 7 1/2 hp briggs in it or maybe he had a flat and did want to get over 140mph. I do think thats what kind of crap you would come up with. And regards to the 30lbs....need to give it to two people of the same build, same age, same strength. I do believe someone is going to win don't you??? UUHHHHH.....and thats JOHN FORCE not JIM but as I stated before, turn the T.V. off your learning nothing. Remember stay focused and try to understand how things really works. The story about the 69's was to make a point as to how a heavier car can beat a lighter one having the same set-up. As to the tuning your speaking of, sure the motors are going to be tuned a little different as will any 2 motors out there. But as to the GTO and the vette... I would think they would be at factory settings being that the vette was fairly new and the GTO was new. But don't forget that i'm not asking you to believe anything or want you to tell me ****. Your opinion of variables between the two cars could go on forever as to the details your trying to speak of. I mean we could get into it alot deeper if we started talking about bearing clearences, spark plug gaps, wires.....I mean this could go on forever. Just trying to to talk cars guy, not trying to convence you or anyone else. Don't be scared to get out there and learn how it really works. It really is alot of fun. Please be careful. When your first starting out maybe you need to take your dad with you or at least an adult. Anyways have fun!!! Have a nice day.
I am rubber and your glue, whatever you say bounces of me and sticks to you. Grow up dude. It is you who is warping everything to suit your needs.
You question my skills and knowledge and I am just trying to make you understand that what you are describing is possible, but not a probable occurence. More then likely you will get your *** handed to you next time.
I also appreciate the cursing and name calling, it really shows your mentality and maturity level. I'll say it, if it avoids you having to see your therapist again, your car is the baddest!!!
Good kill!!

I'll say it again, you need to quit contradicting yourself. You must have a very low attention span. Looks like by the time you get to the end of your sentence you have forgotten what you have written. And like I have said before, I do not need your approval, just tired of your crazy excusses. Calm down and just relax. Not trying to question your skills and knowledge you pretty much show them yourself.
You can learn a whole lot more by actually doing some of these things. I Don't think the GTO is the baddest but I do think they run very well. I think that probably the next time I run upon a vette on the interstate I will probably get my but kicked but this one was mine. Sorry if that hurts your feelings. You want to speak of maturity levels??? Your very FIRST sentence looks like something my 5 yr. old would say. Hey good talking to you and you have a nice day.
Another t-shirt tough guy flexes his muscle. LOL.. Indeed it has been fun talking to you.
Now get off the net and go get those vettes, tiger!!
