That's exactly what I'm trying to sort out. Spec has had problems, but seems to be trying to straighten them out. They are a local company, so if problems arose, it would be a bit easier to go over and talk live to a real human being.

That said, I am debating the pros/cons of the $$$$ textralia clutch as well. Nothing but good news being heard about it. Just a hefty up-front price.

I was also reading your "interesting" thread about your turbo supplier...sounds weird, but as you have had several phone conversations, it sounds like someone is still operating the company. Keep us posted [and on the LS1GTO.com board as well].

I read of one very bad situation involving a SPEC clutch, and that one is enough to keep me from ever buying one.

Something that wasn't mentioned, and this is for all LS1/2 guys is the LS7 clutch and flywheel setup. If you have the LS2 all you need is the clutch plate (but most recommend changing the flywheel at the same time). You gotta realize that this setup is a blend of reliability and performance (like any OEM part) but it's designed for a 505hp car! Great prices too.

Fred Beans has the following:

LS7 Pressure plate and disc $317.99 shipped (advertised on Corvette forum)

LS2 flywheel $183.66 shipped
