Why is this so hard for you guys to understand? The numbers do not add up.

You said FBody guys have been doing it for years. What exactly have they been doing for years? Has any stock FBody ever seen 200 RWHP from 8 lbs of boost through an A4? Answer the question..

An F-body isn't a GTO. For example, GTO's come with factory dual exhaust. It's so good installing an aftermarket cat-back has no power gains.

What's so hard for you guys to understand the whole purpose of my post? It is to document the gains from installing an aftermarket item. That's all a dyno does well.

Any of you members would have posted the before and after if you were me!

Dual exhuast on a GTO is worth easily 8 to 10RW
Oxidizer will concur....

Put the car on a dynojet and redyno
Then u will see its not at 490,your giving false hope to people thinking about getting a procharger..It wil NOT make 490RW threw a A4 on a stock motor no way no dice,Period...

No I'm going procharger (D1) and I will go 60lbers,racetronix pump kit and ati balancer with pin kit and better cog setup..I hope to make 8lbs with my shorties, ptb and blower cam and IMO I think I'll see 475 to 500RW...

How can u make the same power with no other mods.
Its just not possible,By next fall will see if I'm close to what I think I should make and if I'm wrong then great I was wrong but John I dont think I'm going to be bro..

Oxidizer what do u think a 8lbs STOCK A4 Procharged car should be making on the dyno...U never answered the question?I think 430RW is realistic, well wanna answer?

Well JS, you will make more the 490 that's for sure. Mick (trakday) over at at www.ls1gto.com made 551rwhp with a 8 psi D1 procharger, LT headers and a cam in his '04 M6. This wasn't on my dyno either, it was on a dynojet. Here's a link to his results.
trakday's 551rwhp dyno 7-13-05

So what if I take my GTO to another dyno and don't pull 490rwhp, I will still pull at least mid 400's which is excellent for a totally stock GTO. Those considering installing a procharger will not be disappointed.

Here's a thread compiling all types of dyno results on GTO's. Some are all motor, some are forced induction. Included is a stock '04 GTO A4 pull 510/505 with just a Vortec and exhaust.

dyno list

It depends on what dyno they use. We have discussed this many times before.

It's all about having fun now as you said. I think I need better tires now......LOL.

I dynoed 450 rwhp and 450 tq on a mustang dyno. 8 psi D1SC,42 lb injectors,sw long tube headers and catback with turbo mufflers with tuning at EPP.Would probaly be close to 500 on a dynojet dyno, manual trans though, not an auto.

That pretty much further proves my point. Your car has full exhaust plus its an M6 and its still 40 RWHP less then his....

My car dynoed on a mustang dyno. For comparason,My trans am dynoed 396 on a dynojet, but 354 on a mustang dyno. Roughly a 11% difference. Therefore my 450 rwhp mustang dyno would be 499.5 on a dynojet.

My car gained 256rwhp 186rwtq from LT's, Cutout, Cam and D-1SC pushing 7.5psi on stock heads and bottom end. Im sure he picked up 160-170rwhp or so with 8psi, but since there is no baseline run on the same dyno we can assume that his car would have made 320-330whp on that dyno stock which sound about right.

Are you happy with that cam trakday? I may be doing a cam and heads this year. I`m getting too slow with everything all you guys are doing. My car still is a daily driver though, but not in the winter anymore, just last year.

It drives great! As far as I am concerned this thing is a baby cam... It has some lope, but nothing too over the top, and it runs very smooth!

I'm pushing 783.6RWHP on a A4 , couple of mods though, at first I tried Vprocharger and it wasn't enough, so I got a second motor and worked on it a lot lowered copres. to 8.25 and threw some t4 turbo's from turbonetics, they are realy sweet, also changed car computer to Haltec management, I'm happy though, just finished in dec. I will be in Atco around summer look for it , It will have a big TURBONETICS ON THE SIDE OF CAR and winshield is going to say GTOTito
