Default Tuing for a GTO

I was wondering what after-market tunes everyone is running. I have a custom tune on my Z71 (see sig) and I was wondering what you all are running and what kind of results you all got. I would not get a programmer of any kind and I would be looking for a mail order tune at first and then a dyno tune later on. I don't have a GTO yet but I am considering buying one soon. Thanks

I bought HPTuners and tuned it myself. its fun and a great learning experience.
Mail order tunes are iffy...your best best it take it to pro on a dyno who has some experience with LS1/2s, or buy the software yourself

How much of an increase do you see just from tuning with an LS2?

I also have HP Tuners. I went to the track and ran a few with my stock tune and a few with my new tune...got 0.3 from just tuning. I have an '04, but I think you'll see quite an improvement after a tune regardless of which engine you have.

It's $600 for the pro version, which has a USB cable to connect to the laptop that you do need. I also have a wideband, but that's not necessary.

I think that i will get a dyno tune if I get the GTO. Much less expensive and I don't own a laptop. What aftermarket tunes does everyone have? Westers, Nelson, wait4me? I know these are the big ones for us truck guys so I figured that some people would be running them on thier LS1 and LS2 cars.
