The TM has a big factor in it. Its very agressive in the A4 cars, but also noticable in the 6M cars.

TM pulls timing and close the throttle blades a little during shifts to reduce power it will aslo do this during hard launches giving it a soft feeling.

Another part of this is GM overly rich A/F on the stock tune and aggreesive retardation of the timing when IAT's are high. This can be tuned out but you'll need to use high quality 93 octane fuel. Remeber the LS2 has an 10.9 to 1 compression ratio.

The TM is also removed from a tune.

it sure does. even with TM removed on my 05 it feels like theres play in the throttle at low RPMs.
