+1 cheap fix to a big problem. It may not eliminate it totally, but it definately helps a lot.

X-member bushings, diff insert, shocks, and drag bags if your keeping the stock spring. That will care of good bit and make the car driveable off line.

Next is to work inward through the drivetrain, taking the slack/rubbery pieces out.

I agree, the BMR air bags make the most noticeable difference to cure wheelhop on the GTO chassis. Bob

An alternative to the differential insert would be the the Harrop differential cover.

Step 1 - Sub Frame Bushings
Step 2 - Drag Bags / Or Upgraded rear shocks and springs - prefered
Step 3 - Harrop rear cover
Step 4 - One Piece drive shaft
Step 5 - Trade it in for an Auto, they don't have as much of a problem

PS, if your just getting it at the track, try the sub frame bushings and a pair of drag slicks.

Running nitto DRs got rid of it for me. Still on the stock suspension, save for SFC. But DRs took care of it even before the SFC went on.

I might do the drag bags but haven't needed them as of yet.

You won't wheel hop if you hook. Like Rob said get some tire on it, and learn how to launch w/o spinning.

If you get more power or are going to do it soon, then I'd start looking at the other mods like sfcs, drag bags, poly bushings, etc. But right now all you need is some sticky tires.

yup, stickies will do it but the drag bags will keep the rear from squating so much too. take a look at a GTO launching without bags. the tires will practically disappear into the wheel wells. you need to put the power to the tires not the springs.

Unfortunately it appears your drag bags aren't doing it for you if your sig is up to date, I was pulling better 60' times than that when my car was completely stock and stock tires.

Squat or no squat the truth is in the numbers.
