Default Burnouts are tough now...

Switched to Nitto NT555R DRs and I am having a bitch of a time getting my Maggied M6 to do a burnout. My old cars were either automatic or **GASP** FWD (easy as using the parking brake).

My old 235 18s would spin like on ice so even a monkey could do it. I was literally engaging clutch at idle, rolling a bit, and then mashing the throttle and brake. Instantly they would light up. Now, I'm running a sticky tire and the brakes overpower the motor from idle.

Any suggestions? I have more than enough power to do it, but, I am new to the manual burnout world. I guess old fashioned practice is needed.

I have an m6 got with nitto dr, take rpms to around 3 dump the clutch and hit the brakes and hold getting your rpms to 5500 and hold until plenty of smoke is coming off as these tires need to be seriously heated to get any traction on the strip.

Ordered SLP Line Lock this AM from Speed Inc.

That was my thought immediately....rather than dicking around with footwork, I'd just do the easy thing and spend the 129.99 (coupon).
Thanks to all!

Make sure you turn TC off. Did that at the track once...never again. I have 275 nittos on my 04 M6 and can burn them no problem. Just takes a bit of time to get used to dumping that clutch and getting on the brakes soon enough.
