So much misinformation in this thread.....
Those 13.0s are with GREAT drivers at GREAT tracks.
high 13s are common place. VERY common place.
Mid 13s are common ground for both.
Low 13s are common place for 05-06 GTOs.
All being stock of course, down to the tires.

Wow, people really get there panties in a bunch to see a 3800lb car run a good time. FWIW i have not seen a ls2 gto not run a low 13, and havent seen any ls1's run a 14. Hell ive seen a buddy of mine run a 13.1 with after having his goat for 2 days, and by no means is he a great driver. Anything is possible in racing, hell i could take my gto down the track to a 16.0 and a ls1 t/a could run a 13.8, does that make the t/a a faster car...hell no, but it makes him a faster driver.

But I had 3 13.0x passes there. one being a 13.00@107.99 3850lbs and a DA around 100.
If you don't let these cars cool off they fall on thier face!

Man aint that the truth. When my car was still fairly new I wentto the track and ran it as soon as I got there and it went 13.7 @ 104 mph with a 2.2 60', had some bald **** street tires on it.
Let it cool off for over and hour and ran it again to a 13.4 @ 107 mph with the same 60'.
I now have new tires and will be going back soon.

With my 04 M6, Bone Stock I ran a 13.247 @ 105.7 with a 1.8 60'...... on stock KDW's, main prob with these cars getting good times is traction and heat soak.... Traction more so in the M6, and Heat soak in the A4..... Good driver in a M6 can run low 13's all day.... A4's are dummie proof for the most part, your looking at mid 13's 14 flat without the heat soak factor.... but i also put down 326 RWHP / 338 RWTQ on Modern Muscls Dyno Jet Bone Stock....... i currently put down 361 RWHP / 359 RWTQ

Guys I agree about the variations in different tracks around the country. Track prep is just as crucial as weather/temp when trying to get a good time on stock radials. For instance my friend has and 06 gto a4 like me and ran a 14.0 at 99 in July at IRP (indy). It was 90deg and no traction in first. The same night I ran a 13.9 at 102 powershifting my TA with a 2.3 60 time. Anyway my friend with the Goat happened to run a 13.3 @ 105mph later in the year at the Muncie dragstrip off of US 41 with no new mods. I on the other hand run dead even with several high 12 sec cars on the street. I think officials at a lot of these dragstrips don't prep the tracks well on street drag events so people don't hook up and start breaking crap. Anyway, I believe any year gto with any tranny is capable of low 13's, but auto 04's will need low temp and killer traction. This is of course coming from someone who mostly saw low 14's high 13's from all year goats and f-bodys in the summer at IRP. FYI i'm planning on running my stock 06 at the fontana dragway in the next month. I'll post a result then.
