If you plan on doing a stall and cam on an A4 and need decent gas mileage you'd better stick with the M6. I love my A4, but I have a Maggie (doesn't really effect gas mileage on the highway), blower cam, and 3200 stall. I got about 19.5 MPG driving 80 MPH from Florida to Maryland. Not horrible, but definitely nothing to brag about. A cammed LS2 M6 could probably muster 24+ mpg at that speed. If gas right around 20 mpg on the highway with those mods on an A4 is fine with you, then A4 won't be a bad choice at all. Not trying to steer you one way or the other, just trying to put some helpful info on the plate.

I have an 01 SS and a 06 GTO. Personally the gto is more comfortable and way faster. However the SS will stick a lot better without any wheel hop. Plus for some reason i get better mpg in my gto than in my SS. So it's all up to you really.

I have an '04 GTO and love it. However, unfortunately I am selling it due to some things you just gotta do in life, lol. It hurts to sell it but here it is if you're interested - https://ls1tech.com/forums/vehicles-sale-lsx-powered-only/957534-fs-04-pbm-gto-must-sell-asap.html
