gto hid headlight question
i have a 2004 gto that i put hid lights in. the problem is that gto's have a negative triggered headlight set up. the two wires have 12 volts, then one goes to ground when the switch is turned on. now the problem with hids is that they have a protection circuit built in to them. that causes them to not turn on sometimes. the pattern is weird, only one fog light will work and the headlights will. sometimes its only one side of the car that will turn on. if any body has this problem or knows how to fix it would help.

Try upping the headlight fuse by 5amps, then if that doesn't work, get the aftermarket wiring harness that brings power straight off of the battery. It uses a relay, and the factory headlamp circuit just trips the relay and provide power right from the battery.
